The US of A moved a tiny step back towards slavery today. Today more than half the country lost their ability to make decisions regarding their own bodies and health. Or I should say â?¦quot; the Supreme Court decided to uphold an unconstitutional law that states as much. The Supreme Court chose the beliefs of the minority over the physical reality and wishes of the majority. As freedom from religious persecution is replace by freedom of religion, we lose parts of America. Right now, we see how even supposedly benign beliefs, supposedly American religions, can undermine our country. Evidently every religion has at least part of the US they would like to remove, and with a large influx of immigrants and a sudden increase in ignoring Western culture, we have seen a rise in non-Western beliefs. A big one is that many cultures do not believe in freedom. Much of the world and their particular beliefs place women second, or worth less, half or a fraction of a man. These beliefs have been on the rise here in the US. And yet no one stands in their way. No one seems to think â?¦quot; hey if these people do not value women, perhaps when they gain more power they also will not value me. Why do we still allow polygamy â?¦quot; why the recent surge in offensive ads and talk shows that degrade women? How can it be that the basic freedoms of more than half of our citizens are constantly threatened by the beliefs of a vocal un-American few? Why do we tread with such care when talking about Christians or Muslims and no one feels the need to say â?¦quot; your beliefs come under our constitution â?¦quot; after our rights and freedoms? Why do we worry so much about offending peoplesâ?? beliefs â?¦quot; things based on feelings and lack of physical evidence - constructs of mist rather than reality- but everyone is ok with ignoring physical reality to discriminate against a physical and real group of people? I doubt we will still have a country left when people are through being offended. Religions have now gained some legal precedence as being more important than basic freedoms. Science is making logical observations of the natural world. Today we threw out physical evidence in support of some people's beliefs. We value the feelings of the ignorant over the testimony of the educated.

There is no reason for this ban other than endangering the lives of women. This is an attack on Roe Vs Wade. No one carries a fetus for 8 months and then says - well the heck with this. The whole point to removing a fetus that late in the game - a traumatic and dangerous procedure, is if there is even more danger in leaving it in. No woman wants to undergo this procedure. No one wants, at this stage, to 'terminate a life' If you are seven + months pregnant it is because you intended to give birth. Only a severe medical problem necessitates abortions once a fetus is significantly developed. Meanwhile these same animals want to ban birth control. These same interest groups are ok with testing on children, or with denying the baby medical care.

However, as the news grinds on, we have hours of discussion about one frustrated, over-privileged, middle-class nut job who went postal in VA. The news would rather we did not focus on the courts, but on violence instead. I see a connection here. I see the same problem arising. A tell tale sign of the shooter's insanity was his persistent objectification and harassment of women. And in order not to hurt his feelings or beliefs the school had to bend over backwards? Why is that? When is the safety of a classroom of girls worth less than the bad attitude of one boy? When did we decide that personal beliefs were more important than any other aspect of our lives? Because the right to hold contrary and hateful beliefs was upheld today, and logic, freedom and the pursuit of happiness took a big step back. Every woman is now worth a little less in the eyes of the law. The decision made by men. The beliefs of a few radicals and crazies have come before a whole country of people. Some peoplesâ?? religion trumps science, according to the supreme court, and how many even heard about it today?
Break our your burqas gang, or go to the wall; I think that day may be coming.

I personally am going to write to my Taliban member and express my outrage. I suggest everyone write to their Taliban member.
