In the 107th New York State Assembly District!

Throughout my years as an educator, I have discovered that one of my most potent tools is careful listening. I have spent much time listening to my neighbors and reading about the concerns facing us - both locally and globally. I have decided that I cannot sit by and let things happen. You deserve a voice in state government that expresses your concerns rather than serving a conglomeration of dishonest and greedy politicians, corporations and PACs. Voters are NOT satisfied and in November, they will surely demonstrate that dissatisfaction at the ballot box and choose leaders guided by decency, fairness and integrity.

I feel strongly that we can win this district with progressive ideals including ethics, honesty and transparency. It just makes sense to focus on issues that matter to all of us - like relocalization. I do not see many large corporations giving back to the communities from which they profit. Growth need not be synonymous with replacing natural beauty with concrete and smokestacks. Locally-owned businesses are better equipped to foster sensible growth that is scaled to the unique nature of our regional economy.

I will propose and support legislation (even from across the ailse) that provides real incentives to small business owners because all citizens have the right to economic development that also respects the environment, in which we live.
This district is diverse and multi-faceted; its people want leaders that are honest and accountable. I can serve those people by listening carefully, finding common ground, and working to raise rural voices that have not been heard in Albany for too long. I believe that accountability and transparency are essential at all levels of government. For the system to work, there must be checks and balances, and elections must be financed fairly to take power away from PACs and corporations and return it to the people. We can and must do this in New York State.

This vast district includes parts of four distinctive and unique upstate counties whose citizens are passionate about the major issues they face. Delaware County struggles with NYC watershed issues as well as wind power and its many implications. Chenango County is battling to save its scenic countryside from a corporate giant that wants to run a powerline through the heart of the county. Delaware and Ulster County residents are struggling to block a huge resort on one of the most spectacular mountaintops in the Catskills. Broome County has areas in the district contaminated by industrial chemicals, which has lead to vapor intrusion causing various types of cancer in children.

I pledge to provide leadership that is inclusive of diverse groups and finds proactive solutions that will foster growth and prosperity, and offer more opportunities. If you agree with the importance of these issues, then it just makes sense to vote for me as your next New York State Assemblyman. You will not be disappointed!!

If you want your message to resonate in the world of the bloggosphere, you have to get FAR LESS WORDY...nice crisp bullets.

Like it or not, most bloggers are not going to take the time to read a post as long as this one.
You have some GREAT points, but need to make them more concisely.

Bush got elected with the three word sentence.
