Okay... um excuse me... but, um.

I'm confused again.

So when this all started Obama's camp was claiming they got the undecided votes and the liberal republican votes. By saying that he was seen as a person who unified the country and crossed party lines.

hmmmmm

So, coming to the present, Mississippi exit polls show that 13% of the democrats who voted used to be Republicans and that CLINTON was the candidate of choice for that population. By saying that she is seen as a case of the Republicans manipulating the caucus to get the candidate elected that they can beat.

I don't get it. Why is it okay for him to get the Republican vote but it isn't okay for her to get it?

.... sometimes the posts on this site make my head spin....

We fight the fights we can win - Clinton '08

Republican vote
By Wild Horse Mar 11th 2008 at 11:05 pm EDT
I suspect that many Republicans are also upset at the direction of the country and believe Hillary can best move this country into a sound fiscal policy and steady foreign policy.

I will take Republican votes if they believe in my candidate.

be okay with that in PA also - I agree I have no problem with republicans or independents voting in our primaries.

I think it's true! Hillary has been diligent all these years working hard on issues like healthcare. She is well versed and well studied. You could see it in the debates and I think Republicans respond to that.

I prefer peppermint
By Tim Tyler Mar 11th 2008 at 11:13 pm EDT
As in "The Peppermint Twist," of course.

Be that as it may, my comments about the Mississippi stats mentioned related to last Tuesday's huge push by famous and unknown Republican operatives and pundits to get registered Rs to vote for Ms. Clinton.

As far as I can tell, this movement continues.

Earlier on (before Mr. McCain was the presumptive nominee), Republicans were NOT encouraging their members to vote for Mr. Obama in open primaries and caucuses.

They were DOING IT ON THEIR OWN.

I believe that makes a big difference in a person's perspective on the subject.

However, if you'd rather dance...

Let's twist again like we did last summer. At least back then we were being civil with each other.

Up the revolution! Obama in 08!

Look At The Exit Polls
By FreedomOfSpeech Mar 11th 2008 at 11:24 pm EDT
Why would Conservative Republicans who have a Very Favorable Opinion of John McCain be voting for Hillary?

Idiot.

Freedom of speech does not mean that you should be calling people names. That is ugly and uncalled for on this site.

double standards
By Democrat in San Jose, CA Mar 12th 2008 at 1:11 am EDT
If you want to talk double standards; how about the fact that Borack holds his people accountable while Hillary relishes the fact that her people bash and degrade Obama while she can pretend to take the high road. I'm NOT fooled but apparently you are.

The DNC better NOT fall into the Clinton trap of "We won the larger states, therefore..." If Obama has more delegates than Obama has more delegates. End of story! If the DNC decides to pick another candidate you will lose all credibility.

Hillary needs to step away and bow out without harming this party and Obama.
