Blame the Blacks-Old habit is hard to break

The Gay movement with all of its violence and hatred proves that there is a racist part in their movement. The gays should study more about MLK Jr. and non-violence protest(turn the other cheek), otherwise, the gays will never win the hearts and minds of the American people.


It is fair to criticize the black community, or any other community, for this disappointing vote, but only in a civil, constructive way.
The real issue is why Americans in general are so reluctant to see gays have their rights. Gay people are the real victims here. Let's not forget that some people are black AND gay.
I refer to the United States Constitution and am looking for the section about marriage. Still looking. Nope, definitely not there. I am looking for the reference to Christianity and/or the Christian Bible. Still looking. Not there. In fact, the First Amendment clearly states, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion". What else do I see in the Constitution? Fourth Amendment: "The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States." Ninth Amendment: "The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people." Fourteenth Amendment: "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."
The emeritus brief before the California Supreme Court notes that sub-section 7.5 is a revision, not an amendment. Sub-section 7.5 invalidates Article 7 (the equal rights and protections clause) in its entirety. Which means that if this revision becomes law, women, racial and religious minorities' civil rights are forfeit.
