Call of the Wild
A message from those of us who think that wolves have had enough of the short end of the stick. This is why I donate $40 per week, for this commercial, simply because if McCain thinks so highly of his VP nominee, than I have to question their integrity, judgment and ethics.
The republicans are so ascew, backwards and out of touch they don't come close to getting it.
The aerial killing of wolves is so disgusting it makes the political history of Chicago look honorable. Sure we may have our own way of doing things, but at least our hearts are in the right place and our souls are intact. They don't call this the heartland for nothin.
Hi,
Have you ever heard of aerial wolf hunting? It's a brutal practice. Wolves are shot from low-flying aircraft or chased to exhaustion, then shot and killed at point-blank range.
Governor Sarah Palin, the Republican nominee for Vice President, promotes this barbaric practice, exploiting a loophole in the Federal Airborne Hunting Act to allow private wolf killers to shoot down wolves using aircraft. We have to get the word out about this!
Please watch this powerful video by Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund, and then share it with every wildlife lover and conservationist you know:

Please help save the wolves from this savage practice. Time is running out, and this commercial needs to run full throttle!
Thank you.
We've have a beautiful black wolf with yellow eyes, that visits the Mendenhall Glacier. As a pup it would run up to people and attempt to play with other dogs here. The Forest Rangers put out messages not to feed or pet it anymore. So, it's still there after 3 years now, but in those years I've argued that they shouldn't shot at it. They announced they would chase it with a helicopter and shot rubber bullets at it. I don't get it, let it alone. People sell the photos of it. They posted in the newspaper a pix when it was still young, it took a small dog in it's mouth, began to carry it off, then laid it down on the lake ice and wanted to play. It was lonely. I think it was practicing and thought it was it's own pup, or maybe it was a potential snack? who knows, but sometimes the government here over thinks and is driven to 'hunt.'
I know that the Palins have reported they own 4 wheelers and snomachines. Well, someone in the family used the snowmachines to hunt, chasing animals down until exhausted before killing. It was reported in the adn here.
Clubbing seals is still allowed to happen in parts of AK, but only the natives can do it. Every time a seal pops up in the water, if they see humans, they dive immediately, because they know the horrors. I know it's a ritual and the animal would die anyway, because it's subsistence hunting and the Indians really do not waste or take more than they can eat, but it just seems archaic when we have evolved with tools. We could speed the death process so the animal isn't suffering a beating first. I'm not degrading the Indians, it's just the action I don't condone.
I'm sure Al Gore will be a huge assist to Barack or a member of his cabinet on global warming issues and hopefully our endangered animals will bounce back.
