ONE THING ABOUT IT THAT I don't like is that it doesn't deal with the impact of innuendo. [Although to be fair, I don't know how it could.]

For example:

Palin says: "Barack Obama supports plans to raise income taxes."

That comment is rated as a half truth, but they neglect to note that "half a truth is a lie"

I think that should be rated as a lie because the intent that Palin had with that remark was to leave the impression that Obama wants to raise income taxes on everyone when in fact it is only the uppper 5%.

In fact, when I think about it, there are no "half truths". There is either the truth or a lie.

This is not to say that there are not gray areas of consideration. There often are and the TRUTH is to point those areas out.
