The Texas Democratic Party is holding a Town Hall Meeting here in San Antonio, this has been part of a series of meetings being held to hear the concerns and ideas of people about the direction the state party should take. I like the idea and I hope it will bear fruit, it just so happens that I just woke up after another night of not really sleeping, so I get to miss out on the fun. I bet Steve Walker will be there though so check out his weblog later today at the Walker Report. Whether your politics run red or blue, the Walker Report is a good place to see what us political junkies are up to in San Antonio. Anyway my advice for Boyd Ritchie, the chair of the Texas Democratic Party, would be to find common ground between the money interests and the grassroots, use the internet to bring people together, and take clear stands on the issues, not just focus on money and candidates. When people see that we are the party of good jobs not cheap labor, the people will vote for us.
