It's time to get on with getting our nominee in place!! We need to get prepared for the General Election and get our nominee elected as our next President. Both sides here are going to have their feelings hurt...well my mama taught me an important rule "Suck it Up and just forge ahead."
If OBama makes the magic number of 2118 then he should be our nominee and Clinton should show the grace to get behind him and support him, otherwise to keep dragging this on is to make McCain become our next President and frankly what true Democrat with true Democrat principles wants more of the Bush policies. Hillary can at this point write her ticket into many powerful positions, but I will predict that if she goes on to the convention and we lose this election, her status in our party will not be what she wants.
I spoke with my daughter this morning and became a very unhappy mother. She is a declared Independant who had decided to vote Democrat this year. Well, she told me that shes sick of the junk going on in our party and no matter who we choose as our candidate has decided she is going to vote for the Liberal candidate. That makes me soooooo sad!!! Now mind you, I never try to make my children vote my way in the election, but this is 1 time I tried, guess what it didn't work, she said Mom, enough is enough. "Your Democrat party cannot even choose a candidate without fighting, what could I expect of them as President." Strong words from a generally easy going young lady( 32 years old).
The conversation with my daughter upset me enough to know I needed to come here and vent and vent and vent...grow up people and lets get back to the White House!!! Thats enough of venting for me now....

United we stand!

I hear your frustration! I'm behind our party 100% and so are many others. Hopefully your daughter will get to see our unity before November. It's not too late!

Good post... Most know I am an ardent supporter of OBAMA yet if Hillary is the nomineee I would wholeheartedly support her and vote for her.

It is unfortunate to see threats to run to McInsane if their candidate is not chosen.

Super Delegates, Popular Vote
By Democrat in San Antonio, TX Jun 2nd 2008 at 4:21 pm EDT
People keep wanting H. Clinton to withdraw; however, the popular vote seems to indicate otherwise. In my caucus, an elderly man counted the votes on a tennis court with few lights. Also, in the process of voting, we were asked to change locations. There was a one vote difference. When the chairman was asked to recount, the Obama supporters did not want the votes recounted. Also, many republicans came to vote for Obama stating they would vote for McCain in November. They just preferred that Obama run against McCain because they thought McCain could beat Obama.

Many democrats will be voting for McCain in November! Obama has no foreign policy experience, has not called meetings for his senatorial committee, has not been to Iraq, changed churches because of public opinion. Is this who we really want?

How sad that is Super Delegates....your comments make me as sad as my daughter's. Guess the meaning of True Democrat fits me. because I would vote for whichever candidate we choose.

The Problem
By WOMAN Jun 2nd 2008 at 4:21 pm EDT
The problem with the Democratic Party is that their are too many rules in the primaries, too many royals fighting over possible future positions and they have fallen away from the people.

The people should rule, not the party. The popular vote should rule, not the rules committee of the Democratic Party.

Make the rules simple - each state should be able to vote whenever the their state decides.

One vote, count each vote, each vote counts.

That translates to = NO SUPER DELEGATES OF ANY KIND. ONE VOTE PERIOD, NO SUPER VOTE, NO ONE BETTER THAN THE OTHER, NO .5 VOTE LIKE IT'S THE 1800'S.

No Caucus states. TAKE THAT DISENFRANCHISING ISSUE OF THE TABLE.

If the Party would start with that we may be able to come together. But as it is now, many people feel disenfranchised and others are watching their disenfranchisement.

Hope that was understandable!

HILLARY, TAKE IT TO THE CONVENTION!!!

ONE VOTE, COUNT EVERY VOTE, EVERY VOTE COUNTS!!!

Too late for unity...I no longer recognize my party.

"I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live by the light that I have. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and PART WITH HIM WHEN HE GOES WRONG." - Abraham Lincoln
I have been a democrat for over 30 years and for the first time I am ashamed of my party. I can not vote for a candidate that I don't trust and believe in. I will not support a candidate decided for me by the party elders and the MSM. It is hard to believe that only eight years ago the democratic mantra was "count EVERY vote". Come November the democrats will see that they made a fatal error in judgement. I am changing my status to independent and writing in the nominee of my choice on the ballot.
