In the current climate of political acrimony, words are cheap, blame is easy, and opportunities for serving the communal needs of society without sacrificing individual liberty are routinely ignored.

In the future I hope to contribute ideas in this space for the betterment of our society, particularly at the state level from the perspective of my West Texas community in El Paso. I will focus on health care, economic opportunity, civic responsibility, environmental integrity, energy conservation, and civil liberties. My point of view will be framed fundamentally by the principles and ideals of the Democratic Party, which I proudly support; but I welcome discourse across all political boundaries, because a civil dialogue among all our citizens has never been more important.
