Youth of America

A lot of the problems seen today are being exacerbated by the policies created by out of touch older generation. Global warming, the ill-effects of globalization and capitalism, and the failure to start turning our country into one amongst all and instead, one above all will effectively be our demise and we will see it when it is our turn to spearhead the leadership roles in our nation.

We need to start NOW. Not tomorrow and not certainly when we are having to deal with the issues ten times fold. Especially when we can improve it TODAY! The politicians today live in yesterday's Cold War and dichotomies are key to put us vs. them and American over all. This is not the case today and as globalization is a mechanism not even national governments can handle, the ability to put up barriers become rightfully useless.

As you can see in other countries, the youth represent a much different ideology and socialization than their older generations and this is what gives hope in stabilizing and improving relations with countries such as Iran. However, the policies instituted in our country and their country attempts to socialize them into seeing no other choice but to hate the United States. We must bond in solidarity against our failed foreign policy and work to improve our status in the world today.

Young vs Old? This is what your experience tells you is causing our problems?

Not completely, however the inequalities are there. Motivating the youth is key and through the collegiate organization and others like it, it is working, but it is stifled by being the total minority.

Being older...

does give you some wisdom, although it may come at a price.

I had an interesting discussion with my best friends/family this weekend. One of my friends grandmother died, but she lived into her 90's. Do you realize our liklihood of getting that old is becoming less and less? We discussed why and we come to the realization that it is because of preservatives and chemicals. You see, all of the older generations ate fat and fried everything - but it was generally all fresh. We laughed that we need a diet of bacon fat.

There is no way this could have been known when it came out. Just as with smoking. The funniest/coolest/saddest thing my Aunt ever said was - we all smoked back then, no one even thought it would kill us! Then there was the newspaper article she had about scientists licking uranium to test the pureness of it. Apparently, the purer the uranium, the more it tastes like almonds.

So you see, you will make mistakes that won't be found for years. That's what experience is all about.

Harvesting is such an interesting word to use. Like Cocoon or the Matrix. ;-)

Really, I want the red pill now.
