White side of race
White side of it........and a women of any color side of it.
How Black America got to America was wrong but because they got to America...... they are not living in DarFur.
My people came by choice they say? Well, my people were thrown on boats leaving Ireland not because
of choice but because the landowners could no longer feed them, the tenant workers.
Ships left to America, Canada and Australia. Many were so ill and malnourished they died before reaching shore.
They landed with no money, no jobs and they were subjected to discrimination with signs posted
"Irish no need to apply" where jobs were available.
As it is with first generations of many races, women did domestic work. The men of the houses often forced themselves on these women. Rape knows no color. The children worked in sweat shops, often 16 hours a day. There are many forms of slavery.
World slavery has had its roots since the beginning of time...... it goes on today.
But, here in America we fought a War to end slavery. They were finally set free....time to move on.
Don't forget...... women have had to struggle, always, to do just that ...to move on.
We got our vote, 50 years after the black man.
Should we stand up somewhere and say....... "God Damn America"
No......... and I say, all the time....... God Bless America that I, as a member of those early days
have had the opportunity to be what I am..... it takes time. Sometimes it takes generations.
I am the first member of my immigrant family to obtain a college education. Only 150 years.
As a women it took me a lifetime to get the education that was open to just men for so many years.
I don't feel sorry for the blacks... I have more respect for them to do that.
I feel sorry for the ones that do not take ownership of their own respect.
I don't want to see any race as victims. I want to see equal opportunities for all. Live, Love, Work and Play Fair.
That is what it was all about in the 60s.
Your beautiful, talented, smart and you can be anything you want to be...... you can, you can , you can....... just believe it.
It may take awhile though.
60% of college students are women today.
When they graduated they will find a job market with 30% acceptability, as women.
Sorry gang...... black me trump women of any color.
We have had black men as Mayors, Governors, Congress, before a women of any color.....
even in space.. a black man before a women of any color.
Just once...... just once......
We want a women to go first.. but in the end we all want what is best... and she is.
Lucky for us....... we women ... and we are now hanging by our polished nails to the dream that still can happen.
You wonder why we won't quit? Because, all through life that is the only way we have succeeded.
Hillary Clinton... first.. 2008 Barack Obama.. 2016

Hillary Clinton... first.. 2008 Barack Obama.. 2016

I am glad you see that.
She is part of the old politics that Obama wants to Change....... you know....loyalty to party, team player.....knowing how important it is not to have the Republicans in control.
Will Obama support her like that?
Michelle won't.
Al Sharpton will have tens of thousands to protest if Obama is not the Naminee....riot?
Now, tell me.... is this the kind of change we are looking for?
And down will come Obama, black vote and all.
However, I do understand your anger, you really want to see women in power. I am assuming you are elderly? I say that because your views seem a little dated. In the business world women are getting lots of positions with real power! I have worked for 3 major cooperations in the last 10 years and all of them had women in very top level positions. So your cries that women are oppressed is a little false. I am not saying its perfect and there are still issues to be resolved
By the way this is a very complex issue and you seem to be simplifying it. Women in America and not talking about a candidate would be a great topic for a post
With friends like you women do not need anymore enemies!!
Ever consider its people like you that keep women down?
I have no desire to over turn Roe vs. Wade.
I will not be bullied or coerced into any vote, which is exactly what the Obama crowd is trying to do.
Clinton in 08.
