I have just learned that I will be appointed to the Calaveras County, California Democratic Central Committee at their next meeting on February 14!

I am very excited about this wonderful turn of events, and I think it is a good way for me to help our party and win in November.

This is a terrific opportunity for me to put my skills as a C.P.A. to work for the party, and I am looking forward to many satisfying years of success!

Not all C.P.A.'s are republicans! Most of us understand that the failed tax policies of the Bush administration hurt ordinary taxpaying citizens and reward only the wealthiest Americans who didn't need the tax cuts in the first place.

We want to advocate for our clients. We want to see them reap the rewards of our amazing United States of America. We don't want to see them work their fingers to the bone, only to be slammed with high taxes and subprime mortgages that force them out of their homes while Warren Buffet pays a lower percentage than his secretary. It's not fair.

So now I will be a party leader, and I could not be happier! Wish me luck!
