We seem to vote for war before reason these days. Either representatives don't show up to vote or they vote to take up the sword. Anyone who's ever held the sword knows that this is not a decision to be taken lightly but as a VERY LAST RESORT. We are fighting one unnecessary war (with no end in sight) yet some are planning for the next one even as we speak.
No one who advocates a pre-emptive war belongs in a position of power.

Too many of us have become what we fear--we use the same tactics as those we oppose and then we wonder why we don't make progress. At this point, is GWB any better than Saddam Hussein? Look how many deaths each of them is responsible for--is one any more or less evil than the other? Bush & co. would like nothing better than to entangle this country in a religious war with Islam--hiding behind their flag pins while their words espouse something closer to fascism than democracy. Meanwhile, the complainers whine on.
