Lord I may not be fond of Obama, and definitely think Michelle, needs to check herself, but she already wrecked herself, but come on, all this Obama bashing is sickening. For the Love of GOD, Obama is not the Anti-Christ and he is not weak because he gaved the Clintons respoect.
If anything I respect him a little more because he knows that the Clintons have allot of followers that feel they were disrespected and he wants them to feel at ease and understand that he needs to show compassion for the purpose of party unity. He is not wrong, he's done what he feels is necessary, and on top of that he is sharing his spot light not hogging it. It's his way of saying to stand together we have to share it all together, good and bad.
So for once I wish the CNN/MSNBC/FOX,etc would shut up and give the Clinton's and the Obama's breathing room, to do what needs to get done.

He is doing the right thing, I hope all see that.
when the floor count reaches the point where Obama has won,one of Hillary's most prominent supporters will ask the chairperson to end the roll call and let the convention nominate the senator from Illinois by acclamation
That is what will happen. That is good.
This is the democratic process playing itself out, which is exactly what it is expected to do.
Hillary had the choice of either requesting her name be in nomination or not requesting her name be in nomination.
She chose to request her name be in nomination.
Why would it be any other way? She has Delegates and fundraisers who worked their butts off to be able to vote for Hillary Rodham Clinton and they should be allowed to do so.
There should be no doubt that, with the rules being followed to the T, the result had nothing to do with what Obama would or would not allow; it is a rule.
Rules are meant to be followed, not created or re-interpreted as we go along; this rule could not be avoided, interpreted differently or changed in any way. Either she requests her name be in nomination or she doesn't request her name be in nomination.
The chess match continues.
Obama won the primary...so he will win it AGAIN....After the roll call will there be a recount the next week?
Well, thank the Lord for the internet! Sure, there are destructive forces on the internet, but we can use this tool to put out our message. We can counter the smears, attack the enemy, we can constantly remind the American public (which has a really short attention span!) how Democrats have given and the Republicans have taken away!
Rule Number One: We Democrats are in this together. United we stand. Even if you have no particular love for the Obamas or the Clintons, we stick up for our own. Even if you are mad at the party, let's get through November then seriously address those issues.
Rule Number Two: Do not despair. The GOP smear machine is the worst of the worst. John McCain broke his promise to run a clean campaign, he now has Rove protoges in his employ and Rove himself in the background. He will let Rush Limbaugh and all the others do his dirty work quite happily. He will pander to the far right while pretending to be a party maverick. His campaign is chock-a-block with oil and corporate lobbyists who shape his policy and now and will continue to shape his policy if he is elected. Expose the man for what he really is. Expose the party for what it is. The party of intolerance, the party of greed, the party of stupidity.
Rule three: Do your bit. Contribute money if you can. Contribute your time if you can. Volunteer to register the new generation of voters. Get in touch with your local party and ask them what you can practically do to help out.
Rule four: Last but not least: VOTE DEMOCRAT. You will be rewarded in this life and the next! You will be so glad you did, and if you don't and the Republicans win, you may regret it. I know, I know - you live in New York, I live in California, they're going to go blue anyway - but remember that your vote is a lot more than a number. It is a symbol of your intentions - you represent We The People.
Rule five: If anybody disses you, then let me know and I will give them what-for!
Let's go to work!
We are very lucky for where we live---and yes, those around me all agree, that even in a state that is sure to go blue-----never throw your vote away---a vote for anyone other than a dem---especially in this time in our life, would be a vote that says you don't want change.
as you said
your vote is a lot more than a number. It is a symbol of your intentions - you represent We The People.
