I just wanted to check in to see whether private messages were working fine for people now, or whether there are still some of you, out there, that can't send messages and get the blank page.

And if they started working for you, do you know the date and time they started working for you?

Please let me know, either way.

Also, for those of you getting the dashboard errors, you should let me know if that's the same, or fixed, as well. Because this error doesn't happen to me and I can't reproduce it, it's more difficult to fix than the message error.

I still got errors and my PM's did not work today everything seems fine.

Michael,

I was able to send pm's on 7/7/08 @ 4:53PM. From what I can tell they were all received (40 of them). I haven't had any trouble since.

Also I'm one that uses Firefox, I've never had problems getting into my dashboard just the pm's. However, whenever I try to log into blog on the main blog I get that blank page. It's been like that since March for me.

Couldn't get on to my dashboard, but one of our techies checked it out, and just had me dump all of my cookies and start over. Kindof a pain, but it worked. Maybe someone has been handing out rotten cookies?

PM's working for me, but still having dashboard errors.

Mike, can you post instructions here from the techs to clear cookies?

Depends on your browser.

If you're using Firefox, go to Tools-Clear Private Data. And then clear cookies.

In IE7, go to Tools-Internet Options. You'll see a place for you to delete "temporary internet files, cookies, ..." and other info.

IE6 and below should be close to IE7.

Safari, if memory serves (my Mac is at home), has a way of doing it that's more like Firefox than IE.

I use Netscape at home and have had no problems. At the office I use IE7 and occasionally I get the pop-up and a blank screen, but if I hit the back button it opens my dashboard.

DAMN!!!! I just got the dang 'operation aborted' error message again even after clearing out everything. What's weird is that it happens only about 1/2 the time I go to my dashboard...not everytime.

My buttons still don't work on either site. The dashboard links don't work. Anything on top of my friends list does not work...
It's as though the links underneath are being activated.
PMs seem to work for the moment....

IE 7 Cannot access private dashboard after refreshing page. Cannot access from dashboard tab when away from main page. States cannot access page. Same problem when accessing others public dashboard at times. Sometimes continual refreshing eventually displays page.

I can't see "whom" my messages are from, unless i "open" them. Some people are polite notes, some might need some research , help, etc. this has gone on for 7 weeks. Imagine trying to figure out, annoyoumous mail, till you open. thank you.

Today, 16JUL08, is the 47th day since we were told this blog was being repaired. Mr. Link, your profile states you are the DNC web specialist. With all due respect, prove it and fix that blog. Anyone coming to this site will obviously see that weblog first. Certainly, we'd want a well functioning weblog especially as we close in on the conventions and the general election. Any updates would be most appreciative.
