"But the truth is that Edwards was in Michigan to bury Hillary Clinton, at least as a presidential candidate.

"When this nomination battle is over, and it will be over soon, brothers and sisters, we will have a united Democratic party," Edwards declared.

The Edwards endorsement, delivered not in an upcoming primary state such as Kentucky or Oregon but in the contested former-primary state of Michigan, was not a primary endorsement. It was a positioning moment for a November race in which everyone â€" including the savvy senator from New York â€" knows that Barack Obama will be carrying the Democratic banner into competition with Republican John McCain."

With 5 primaries Obama leads in total delegates 1887 to 1719= + 168 and he is about 138 delegates short of the magic # to end this. Let's see how fast the remaining 234 supers announce...Obama needs less than 50 as he will probabl win OR, SD & MT.....

This is something that will take a course of its own....The next president of USA will either be McCain or Obama...

Obama fought the better campaign & he is the DEm candidate....By winning he has not divided the party...On the other hand the Hillary supporters that do not follow the DEm selection have opportunity to heal or divide party...I believe obama will bring enough fresh people to the game that al will be well...In 6 months you will have 2 choices that can win..OBAMA or McCain....

A vote for Obama on May 31st by the rules committee is a vote against every registered voter in Florida and Michigan who cast their ballot in good faith that it would be honored. Apparently Obama knew he would not win in Michigan so he took his name off the ballot after winning Iowa. Neither Hillary or Barack campaigned in Florida, but she still beat him by a wide margin with very high voter turnout.

EVERY DEMOCRATS VOICE COUNTS, NOT JUST THE ONES THAT SUPPORT OBAMA!!!!!

Would you want your vote taken away and given to a candidate who wasn't even on the ballot? I sure as hell would not and I sure as hell won't support a party that would.

Howard Dean and the obviously Pro Obama rules committee will destroy this party if they hand Obama the nomination without counting Florida's votes as cast. She won those states and should be given the correct amount of delegates.

It's funny how they are so jazzed about following some new rule with dogmatic adherance. While all the while they are planning to violate our civil rights by handing the nomination to someone who did not win it fairly, WTF????
Stop it NOW before you look even more full of crap than Bush. The party is NOT more important than it voters, got it? Wake the F up Howie!

I think the credentials committee is the ones who will actually decide which delegates are credentialed and which are not. It would be difficult for the rules committee to try and claim that no rules were broken.

We will unite

behind our presidential nominee which looks 99% sure to be BO. Michael I heard Edwards called Obama after he heard the strategy coming out of the HRC camp about how she could carry the blue collar workers and he saw it as more division for the democratic party. I applaud him for wanting to try to avoid more division within the party even if friendships my get broken.

While back I posted that Edwards will come out for Obama as the nuke that would end this....The results are in the cards & only matter of what happend between now & when Hillary leaves...

Sure she can stay but she cannot win....So gets to when we all can move to GE & past primary process...HAVE 6 MONTHS...
