Losing is always tough. It is a better measure of personal fortitude than how one handles winning. I certainly understand disappointment in Clinton's loss for those who supported her. It was particularly difficult because the results were so close. I have been impressed by many Clinton supporters. There have been a group of Clinton supporters that are extremely immature. They are whining about an unfair process, they continue to lambaste Obama, they say they will vote for McCain out of protest. If these disenfranchised Clinton supporters feel McCain is the better candidate I respect thier decision. If they are voting to make a point, Im have news for them they are not. If you plan to vote for McCain for any reason, go out and advocte for him.Don't hang around this web site and whine about Obama.

O really blew a chance to be the Unity Champ by not intervening and having the DNC rules committee to count the votes as they were voted in FL and MI.

He would have still been slightly ahead.

Miss steped on that one.

Thanx for expressing what many of us have been dying to say.. Let all these "runners to McCain" do just that and see if they can live with his principles, his extended war, his goofy "misspeaks". I am just tired of reading that garbage.

Thank you
Kind words are appreciated. My sentiments have brought much criticism tonight by those I consider immature

What is unacceptable is a picture of Hillary Clinton with John McCain with an inscription that says HILLARY SUPPORTERS FOR MCCAIN 08! On a DNC website!
I am SURE Senator Clinton would not find that in the least bit flattering!

Every candidate has supporters you do not care for.
Look at the candidate not the supporters.

You are whining. Do something positive. Go advocate for a candidate you feel is better.

Dont just whine about Obama.

You are helping no one.

Were never spoken!
If we were children on a playground maybe--this behavior would be tolerable--but what we are witnessing from some is nothing less than ME give ME MINE! Childish and very elitist.

I AM A PROUD SUPPORTER OF THE DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE AND THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, BARACK OBAMA.

I always thought Republicans used God as the ultimate punishment and evidence their opinion was right. I'm amazed by the number of people here tossing God around as if God would approve.

no whining, just waiting
By Democrat in Lenore, WV Jun 5th 2008 at 2:02 am EDT
Hillary was always said to be whining, selfish, and other even less flattering things by an awful lot of people, including the media, and even by one candidate's minister who was his inspiration for a book title. But I saw in her-- not to concede speech, along with the news story out today about her unconceded delegates-- more strength, courage, and the audacity to analyze her options before she made any hasty decisions, than I have seen any candidate demonstrate. With neither candidate with the amount of pledged delegates needed, coupled with the electoral maps showing the advantage that she holds,I hope that she takes her delegates to Denver. No whining, just waiting.

As I have stated before

You have to give people time to adjust. I am not too vain to admit that I, too, have felt anger and grave disappointment when my preferred candidate was unsuccessful. Senator Clinton has gone further and gotten closer than any of them.

Having said that, I have never threatened to vote for a Republican in protest. That goes beyond disappointment, regret and anger. That is pure folly.

Of course I hope these people are not serious about voting Republican, because whatever good the odd Republican administration might have done for the country, I can think of a hundred things they have utterly screwed up. They have wantonly screwed the middle class and as for the poor - they have done nothing to help lift people out of poverty. The statistics speak for themselves. The average wage has fallen in real terms under every single Republican administration since Eisenhower's, and the number of people living below the poverty line has risen substantially.

Education? Never in my life would I believe I'd see half of American high school students failing to graduate. But we're seeing it now. We saw standards of education drop under Nixon, Reagan, Bush 41 and Bush 43. I only give Ford a pass because he wasn't in office long enough to have an impact.

Healthcare? We had a kind of quasi-universal system which was established under FDR; abolished by Nixon. Republicans are the reason we don't have affordable healthcare. They started it and they perpetuate this grotesque situation where average families go bankrupt whenever one of their members gets sick.

Science and technology' research and development? The only technologies/R&D Republicans are interested are those with military applications. Curing diseases? Forget it! Republican administrations do not believe in researching alternative therapies for curing cancer. Reagan spent his entire time in office denying that AIDS even existed. Renewable energy? Nuts to that! Republicans blamed the oil crisis of the 70s on Carter and have consistently promoted building private vehicles which consume more gas, while Democrats have promoted fuel-efficient models. The environment? Are you kidding? Republicans have been trying to undo every law, every fine, every criminal penalty the EPA has ever enacted or levied. They don't care about people who have to live with pollution (and die by it), they want to give industry a free pass to dump garbage in our rivers and near our coasts, kill off fish stocks, wildlife and whatever other living thing happens to get in the way (including human beings).

Let's just keep this conversation going, and let Hillary's supporters make their minds up about what they want to do in their own time.
