John McCain, Failure

I never thought I'd say this, but the better Republican actually got selected in 2000. What the country is seeing now is the real McCain, the man whose buddies from his Hanoi Hilton days organized to slam George W. Bush's military record. When their plot back-fired
in South Carolina because the rank and file veterans came out and revealed the true record, they sucked it up and regrouped to insure there'd be no Democratic incumbent in 2008.
Think that's far-fetched? Surely a man who's still fighting the Vietnam misadventure forty years later can be expected to plan a political campaign eight years in the future.
The reason we shouldn't let him get away with it, is because, if past is prologue, somebody other than John McCain always ends up paying the price for his escapades.
What's to be done? Ignore him. Show the Bad Boy that NOBODY CARES.
