What the hell are we doing here people? I thought we stood for equality for ALL, not some outdated sense that we have to make up for past inequality by denying others their rights. I'm talking about awarding any delegates from Michigan to Obama. I heard all the stupid arguments about how people would have voted for him. That doesn't change the fact that he took his own name off the ballot. He removed himself from the process, why would he now want a share of those delegates he shunned? We know there was no reason or requirement for him to remove his name. So why did he do it? His lack of judgement in this was bad political strategy, not a show of solidarity with the DNC. Why now should he be rewarded with 59 legitimate delegates that he did not earn? The answer is shamefully obvious. Barack Obama is being judged by a different standard. He is being nominated on a "curve", because he can't win this race legitimately. The DNC, and the far left are making excuses for him, giving him delegates he didn't win, in races he wasn't in. Taking legitimate delegates away from candidates who earned them. The media is in on it too and they demonize Hillary every chance they get and keep telling her to drop out, even though they never seem to tell Ron Paul the same. The DNC is sending a message loud and clear that THEY want Obama regardless of how half of the party feels about it. They said loud and clear today how they will do it, by breaking their own RULES. I can't support this decision guys and if I have to vote McCain to stop you I will. We no longer stand for anything and this is political suicide. If the only way we can nominate a black candidate is by affirmative action...does he really deserve it? I don't think so and I know a lot of black people who would agree with me.

When you all calm down, you will realize that by voting for John McCain you are committing political suicide. Do you suggest that Obama get nothing out of a flawed election?? That's what old Harold wanted, sanctioned by Hillary. You are being sold a bill of goods. Do you want an endless war in Iraq? an ecomony controlled by lobbyists? We need a change in this country - maybe not the kind you wanted but sure better than the Republicans. Do you want people on the supreme court who will be a majority to repeal Roe v. Wade? That's what you will get with McCain. By the time McCain finishes his term he will be 76. Think about it!!! Do you want less taxes for corporations who ship overseas and for millionaires? There has to be a nominee soon or the democrats do not have a chance in the coming election. WHAT ABOUT THE ISSUES??? Elaine

Wow, that's really....words can't describe.

The irony: your party invented AA, and called us racists for disagreeing, while we were competing for college and jobs.

Unbelievable.....

Out with democracy
By TCane May 31st 2008 at 9:22 pm EDT
I just read about the DNC decision. Can't beleive they would give Michigan delegates to Obama when he wasn't even on the ballot. Unbeleiveable! I will be changing my party registration. Democrats are stupid. I thought democrats were a party for democracy. I thought America was a democracy. Guess I was wrong. This is all very sad, but I don't think Obama will ever win in November. The Hillary campaign has been nice to him but the McCain camp is going to lay him out. I beleive we can survive 4 years of McCain better than 4 years of Obama. He is Much to radical for me. Oh, I just learned he has resigned from his church. How's that for timing. Still doesn't erase the fact that he has spent 20 years there.

Agree. Has the committe lost sight of electable requirement?

The DNC is forgetting that our candidate must be one that can defeat McCain - Obama can't.
