Elitism is a GOOD THING!

Right now we need the BEST of the BEST to lead this
great nation.

The FEW the PROUD.

We need the brightest and best stars, not a president we can feel comfortable having a beer, or bowling with.

I don't care if my president is personable like a talk show host, or one of my buddies.

They are supposed to be leaders, not our buddies! They stand apart from the masses!

It is time the "middle class" blue-collar worker put an end to anti-intellectualism!

We have seen what happens to a great nation when we empower a president who doesn't like to read and write!

Seriously, I know a working class guy from Cleveland who installs glass windows in cars, and would not vote for Obama because he would not wear a flag on his lapel. Meanwhile, he complains about not having enough time from work for his family, and a boss who is trying to rip him off over salary and health care.

This is not Irony. This is ignorance!

Far too long has the American middle class Expected Less from our leaders and this country is suffering from it.

Right Thought
By Ray Pairan Apr 16th 2008 at 10:09 am EDT
The business elite constitute those who control the reigns of the capitalist system to their significant advantage (millions of dollars) and manipulate the working class (all workers regardless of where they live, their educational attainment, or profession) into believing that this contrived economic system is in their best interest.

If the business elite can divide labor across ethnic, geographical, or professional lines they can keep us disoriented and unfocused upon the real issues that effect all the members of the working class.

The business elite are hard at work even in this party - because their interests are being threatened! Beware the wolf dressed in sheep's clothing.

Read my posts on my party blog for a complete elaboration of the interests that affect all working class citizens.

Could not agree more. The thought that elite was a slur was effectively communicated. But the problem is, it's high praise.

Talking down to people (which is what was meant) is not what caught on.

But when I walk into the voting booth, I'm not looking for a buddy. I'm looking for the person I am compelled to respect. Judgement. Communication. Disarming (in every sense of the word). Responsible.

I'm not exactly sure I like the idea of "managerial" after seven years of poor managing and lots of legal abuses. There's no doubt in my mind that Cheyney could probably be impeached on MORE grounds than Bush solely on the basis that Bush did not know!

I Confess

You have made me. When I was a little girl, I was blonde, and voted prettiest girl in second grade, yet, here I am always writing with humour, like the common folk.
