Look at people's shopping habits and try to say that American's are divided racially. All Americans love Morgan Freeman. They love hip-hop or at least old school Soul like Aretha Franklin. Boomers grew up on Rock and Roll. Talk about the Platters, or The Coasters. Talk about Bo Diddley or Little Richard.

Talk about Michael Jordan, Shaq, Tiger Woods. Talk about football. Talk about the fact that all races go to the same movies at the movie theaters and buy the same music in the stores and online.

Americans are taught that America is quintessentially a melting pot. We celebrate world cultures all the time. There are music festivals in every major city. Americans eat food from every corner of the globe. Chinese and Mexican.

Let's keep the truth alive and flourishing about our nation of immigrants. We are a diverse nation united in our diversity.

White people respect and love black people and black culture. Look at the music charts. African Americans contribute enormously to American culture and white people love African-Americans. We live and work together.

Trying to divide the American people is wrong. But if that is what some are out to do, then keeping ourselves united is something we have to do with even more energy and determination.

Americans naturally are a people who live with diversity everyday. Its in our music and culture, it's a fact of American life.

People the world over love our culture and our people even while they are critical our our government and slick politicians.
