Swift Boating
I think we all remember the Swift Boat Veterans for Lies. I think we all remember the damage they did to John Kerry. I therefore think it is only fair that we do not "swiftboat" on this site.
On this site there have been attacks on John McCain related to patriotism and his military record. I have been a part of this. I think we should all listen to Senator Obama and refrain from patriotism attacks on any candidate, from Bob Barr to John McCain. That subject should be and will be off limits. I'll be writing another post with a pact that you can sign by commenting on. By signing you are agreeing to refrian from attacking patriotism and war records.

Swiftboating by historical evidence and definition is LIES. The most famous of swiftboats (Kerry), were all lies.
I will vehamently object to anyone who swiftboats any candidate, as it does not serve US looking for valid information----
I also will not lie about a candidate who is falsely promoting himself on a record that does not support his assertions.
And yes, I will adhere as much as I can, with the above parameters, to follow Barack on the high road.
I believe the high road included telling the truth when mistruth is presented to the public.
...it won't stop them from continuing to attack Obama's patriotism but at least we should not respond in kind - there are plenty of other angles of attack, ones more effective than that.
