It is being reported that up to 100,000 people have died from the cyclone that hit Burma. Burma's brutal and corrupt military leaders failed to warn their people and they failed to evacuate areas in danger. Even though the rest of the world knew the storm was coming, the Burmese people didn't.

MoveOn.org has issued an urgent appeal to help the Burmese people. Please donate to a drive by Aavaz.org to raise money for the International Burmese Monks Organization and related groups, which will transmit funds directly to monasteries in affected areas.

I find it upsetting that you frame your argument in this manner. The issue is not MoveOn or Obama. The issue is the suffering of the Burmese people.

This is how a good Democrat would see it.

Is Moveon.org also taking donations for the people of Iraq whose country we destroyed? They are for pulling the rug out from under all the Iraqi citizens who worked with and are protected by the U.S. troops who have worked their butts off to complete the mission that was supported by a majority of Americans in 2003. Moveon.org has no credibility with me.
