Today is primary day for local, state, and US congressional races. I have been particularly interested in the Demo Senate race...We have to get someone to unseat Saxby Chambliss! Looks like there will be a runoff....Vernon Jones is the guy who mailed fliers that pictured him and Obama "togehter". BTW, he is the current CEO of my county and he sucks!

More than likely there'll be a runoff in three weeks between the top 2.

I voted for Rand Knight. Looks like he is way behind. :( In a runoff between Jones and Martin, I'll vote Martin. Jones is the CEO in my county and I think he is a dirty politician.

John Lewis will win easily. People here love him.

Georgia is a state to watch

A lot of GOP voters in Georgia do not like McCain. A lot of GOP voters in Georgia do like Bob Barr. A lot of Democrats in Georgia like Barack Obama (the state is 30% African-American).

Could Barr have the "Perot effect" in the vote-rich Peach State?

I think that Georgia could be in play for Obama. There is a large African-American community here that will definately turn out for him. The problem will be the 'Dixicrats' from the rural areas that may not embrace Obama and decide to stay home. Repbulican enthusiasm/turnout will be helped by the Chambliss vs. ? race for the US Senate. Going to be interesting.

Those two will most likely be in a runoff in three weeks.
