Is Gen. Wes Clark off the short-list?

I just saw this on RCP. I had read that there was some fallout over his remarks about John McCain and his military service. I didn't realize that he had basically been removed from contention as VP.

I paid special attention to the Unity speech he gave and I found it rather odd he kept saying join Senator Clinton and us or join us and so on. Now, if this was a speech to convey unity among the party, I saw some different things. Listen to the words if you can from the video or where ever you can find it. I don't think there is a short list at all and if there is, if the Honorable Senator, Hillary Rodham Clinton is not the selected person, he will go down like the Titanic. Many supporters of hers are waiting and if it doesn't come to pass, neither will he.

He has poor judgement

He stopped the vetting for Johnson too, he rang a bell, sounded too much like himself (home loan) scandal.

BO was a dope to stop Gen. Clark's vetting, if that's the case, especially when Clark was aiding him. Clark scores points with me though. He & Edwards would light the beacon.

No fallout about Clarks remarks

They were right on target. and try and they did the Republicans and their maintstream media were not able to successfully knock Clark off his point which was and still is true and on the mark:

McCain's having been a POW does not qualify him for the office of president or indicate that he has the judgment for leadership any more than it does someone's uncle charlie who was a POW in vietnam. This was a double whammy coming from General Wesley Clark who not only outranks McCain, but who also came home a hero on a stretcher from Vietnam himself.

McCain is a total incompetent.
