Ed Rollins, Republican Strategist, on Lou Dobbs Tonight call Democrats the "drop the guns and run party" Interesting that they would phrase it in that way since the republican leaders do not actually do the fighting. They send others to die in their stead.

debt..... moving forward
By Matty May 16th 2008 at 8:50 pm EDT
It seems we have to clean up the National debt they leave behind.

Reagen tripled the debt while in office ...Bush SR. tried to do something with it..... remember read my lips... no new taxes..... So... it went to Bill Clinton, which he balanced the budget for the first time in 30 years and left Bush Jr. a surplus.

So, here we are again.... massive debt.....
Bring on the Clinton........ or not.

This war is going absolutely nowhere and should never have been started. The war needs to be stopped. The war is costing 8 billions per month; money that could be well spent in the United States..

can anyone fathom...perhaps we are not and never were in a deficit. If we are in such debt, then why are millions still given to the oil industry, bail out of the financial groups, billions spent on petty research, innumberous billions spent on investigations of all these crimes of the last several years, billions spent on educational research, student loans, grants (pell), fanny mae, johnny mac. Do you honestly think if we were indebt to China...they wouldn't be making a move to move the thousands of overcrowded population to more open grounds at a faster rate.

Can anyone figure it? say 10% of an average 30k wage times the number of working class americans how much this would be?

I'm not defending Republicans
By Democrat in Sebastian, FL May 16th 2008 at 9:02 pm EDT
But I'm defending Truth...

Let’s see… Major U.S. Wars of the 20th Century

WWI - U.S. involvement started under Wilson – Democrat

WWII - U.S. involvement started under FDR – Democrat

Korean War - U.S. involvement started under Truman – Democrat

Vietnam War - U.S. involvement started under JFK – Democrat

So you see we tend to start more wars than Republicans. I'm sorry, but the truth is hard to deny... There is enough misinformation on this site, I'm just trying to set some of it straight and not assign blame where it doesn't belong.

They started the war in Iraq which will probably outlast all the others combined. Thanks for the correction.

Exactly-none other than Petraeus was responsible for that debacle. And why is it the Congress passed a resolution condemning groups that called him out as being a Repugnant puppet?
