Now that McCain and Obama have chosen their running mates, I believe that anyone who is supporting McCain now, will be voting McCain in November and I also believe that anyone who is supporting Obama now, will be voting Obama in November.
So, I am going to ignore these people, and that includes you and me-----and I want to focus on those who truely do not know what to do.
On that, the question is what can we do to help them make up their minds
#1 Would be the canvassing and registering that Obama has so well organized and energized----and with that, would be then to follow up and get these people to the polls.
I think all the rest is fluff and/or OUT OF OUR CONTROL
The msm is going to cover the scandles and lies ---and I am finding that even that is not going to change the minds of the people who have already taken a side.
I have come to this because I have just visited the multiple of sites that the gooood longterm democrats that have been kicked off this site have set up. They are still repeating all the same crap that has been debunked, even though I witness on this site over and over people taking the time to show them why what they were saying was incorrect, the only difference is that now they have Palin to use and they are fired up again to be able to use misogyny as a new tool against the DNC and/or Obama.
Another reason I have come to this is because earlier a blogger was asking about maybe taking our message to the RNC bllog and it got me thinking about time management and would it do any good really?
Then up popped Bills blog http://www.democrats.org/page/community/post/whf57/CCKn and 4barackobama's http://www.democrats.org/page/community/post/terrancedarnellsteward/CCKN
Obama is taking care of what we don't have any control over that could change this election.---that would be Election Fraud and/or a Scandal. I TRUST HIM
the republicans have to worry about scandal-----I don't think we do.
So, what I am saying is that, we need to let the MSM do thier job---(sites like Huffington, KOS etc. are going to hold their feet to the fire)----
ACCEPT THAT WE ARE NOT GOING TO CHANGE ANY MINDS THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN MADE UP (no matter how much debunking and truth we have on our sides)----so, anyone we are talking to that already knows who they are supporting, don't bother with----move on
This is a mistake I have been making as I canvass and rub elbows in my communitee---even if I am just in a grocery store----I have wasted time with McCain supporters.
I am now just going to smile and say "we have a different view of how we want our leaders to behave" and move on----
Sorry about the rambling----kinda thinking while typing, and I wish I knew how to get an idea over more concisely.
