The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday, September 11 shows Barack Obama and John McCain each attracting 46% of the vote. When "leaners" are included, it’s Obama 48%, McCain 48%

This should be a lesson to those who think this is over...Not by a longshot. This should mute all of the naysayers. All they did was break even thats it. That's all the McCain /Putin ticket has done. Wow and after all that media hype. Let's kick this ticket back to the mideval ages where their ideals belong.

Actually the Democrat Party should be concerned. In the last two elections we saw a President elected by relatively very few votes. The country and voting was divided pretty much along party lines. With Palin on the ticket Republicans are excited and are voting with their party. Independents will probally be split between Repulicans, Democrats and third party. In this election, unlike the past , Democrats are not united behind Obama and many are crossing party lines or not voting. The number of Democrats doing this varies depending upon polls and how it effects the election has yet to be seen. To ignore this rift in the party or dismiss it because new voters are being recruited to counter the ones lost may very well cause the Democrats to lose. A tie or closeness in the polls is not good - this election should have easily gone to the Democrats.
