If you could only write one blog here, ever, OR If you were interested in this election because of only one thing (one issue) what thing would you choose?

Just a question out of curiosity. I imagine a lot of people will say the economy, some will say the war, and some will be wholly unable to answer the question, and will settle for rambling a bit about how rotten Republicans are.

that's the single issue in this election year that you find the most important thing?

Wow.

Yep. There can be ONLY ONE President, not a tribunal of Bill, Hill, and the "new kid".

PRESIDENT Obama does NOT need Bill shooting his mouth off every time someone sticks a camera in his face and undermining or critiquing the REAL President.

He needs to do what he has been doing for the last 8 years, and shut up for the next 8.

So the war in Iraq, thousands of dead Americans, the mortgage crisis, MILLIONS of homeless and unemployed Americans, the eroding middle class, the polluted environment, and the failing state of our public schools all pale in comparison to your love for Barack Obama and your hatred of the Clintons?

I have some shocking and disturbing news for you.

We vote on the one single person who will be the POTUS. But in truth, the office and administration of any POTUS is a team effort. It will be the entire Democratic party which runs the country if Barack is elected. Sorry to burst your sycophantic bubble.

Your an idiot, by alienated the Clintons, Obama risks, Bill shooting his mouth off everytime and Hillary not supporting him in the Senate and trust me the Hillary team is still extremely strong. She might not have won the primaries, but she got something far more important out of it. She made a name for herself and now everyone in the US is looking at her, not as Mrs. Bill Clinton, but as Hillary and she has gained the support of two huge groups Woman and the GLBT community.

EDUCATION.

That is the key that unlocks so many of the worlds issues.

I can make a valid argument on any problem that could be solved with an educated world.

I could start with educating women in 3rd world nations-It lowers the birth rate, increases employment and decreases poverty. Helps eliminate hunger and lowers abuse by men.

This leads to less strife, less aggravation and less helplessness in the world. In other words, less terrorism.

That's just 1 example...I could go on. BTW, great question.

The most important issue
By andy492 Aug 20th 2008 at 11:55 pm EDT (Updated Aug 20th 2008 at 11:55 pm EDT)
The Most Important Issue:

It's not taxes, the economy, the war, our civil rights, our personal liberties. It's not the Democrats or the Republicans; Liberal's or Conservatives; It's America and what is necessary for her to survive. It's what are we willing to sacrifice for the good of our nation? What are we willing to give up. Are we willing to sacrifice some personal liberty to insure her safety? Obviously not. Are we willing to dig a little deeper to insure her fiscal health and security? Obviously not. Are we all willing to go out and volunteer to do what must be done to insure America has a strong and vibrant future in the 21st century and beyond? Doubtful. Instead of asking what we will get from the Next Administration; why aren't we asking what America needs and then see that she get's it? Instead of "us against them" why isn't it "all of us for America?" America isn't just a place, a nation, a name on a map. It's a concept where all citizens worked together to build a life that we could all be proud of and feel secure in. It's a feeling that you have when you see the excitement of a youngster watching their first parade on the fourth of July. They may not know why; but their excited just the same. It's the feeling that you get when you watch fireworks in the summer sky; or see the Statue of Liberty after returning home from a trip; or watching the sun rise over the rim of the Grand Canyon. It's knowing that people that you never met and will never know have given their lives just so you could sit on your front porch or in your back yard and complain about your national leaders without fear.

That's what I would write about. America.

why vote the party line? because who wants to waste another 4 years of their life under a republican president who will only dig us deeper into ruin!

Education
By Miacol - Dominican, Latino, American, Gay - Deal Aug 22nd 2008 at 8:39 am EDT (Updated Aug 22nd 2008 at 8:39 am EDT)
We need to Educate the masses in Science, Math, English and other languages (no Obama a person should not be forced to learn Spanish, but they should be given options to learn many languages, the onces they choose), our History and the History of the world (the true History, trust most of what we thought about Latin America (at least when I was growing up, even in college was all wrong) and the Arts (We forget how important this is as a culture, we should encourage Americans to remember their Culture and Heritage, to be proud of who they are, where they came from, to have pride in all those things that make them Americans (Latino Americans, European Americans, African Americans, Asian Americans) because by remembering who we are and where we come from, we know where we are going and that makes us so much stronger.

We also need to teach Tolerance, accepting different cultures and beliefs, experimenting with different cultures so we start learning to understand each other.

Only with Tolerance, Understanding and Knowledge can we transend and become a new, stronger, better, more powerful and great America to truly bring us into the 21st Century.

Transparency.

I think we should launch Operation Freedom of GWB Minded People.

Vet someone that can do take on these Violators of Erosion: answer is: GORE! :)
