Listening to George Bush politicize the day my brother was killed is a bitter pill. Seeing Donald Rumsfeld at his side speaking is no memorial to me or my family. It reminds me of the fact that despite all of his promises, George Bush and John McCain are pursuing a war that never should have been fought. It leaves a sour taste in my mouth when I think of how their war in Iraq is not a war chasing terrorists. It is a war they created (with Dick Cheney) to secure oil, while ignoring their responsibility of getting Bin Laden. I remember that day and trying desperately to get to New York to hunt for my brother in the World Trade Center trying to get through the No Fly Zone, Bush and Cheney imposed. I remember hearing of the lone exception being two jets of Bush - Cheney family friends .....the Bin Laden family members flying away for their safety, when I could not. I think back to my anger and it rekindles.

The Republicans try to justify this war in Iraq and the 4155 Americans who have died in Iraq and the 30,568 wounded. Even this number is manipulated by the Bush Cheney administration. Most say it is really over 100,000 wounded. I see John McCain giving a speech today side by side his co conspirators and not a mention of the 1,255,026 Iraqis killed, Lord knows how many maimed and wounded. The war Republicans lied about to get us in is murder. Weapons of mass destruction, bad judgement and greed from an oil baron named George W Bush has cost the United States of America dearly. But it has cost the world as well. Listening to the Republicans try to get ahead in the political game by tying this war to patriotism and freedom is sad and an insult to every real threat America has ever faced. This is a self inflicted war, started by three mavericks named Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld and supported proudly by John McCain.

The Republicans have committed murder upon murder based on lie after lie by continuing this war. It is known as the three trillion dollar war and it is taking the American economy down the toilet. Bin Laden accomplished what he started out to do, ruin the American economic machine. The failed leadership of the Republicans might continue with John McCain who despite Iraq government wanting the withdrawal to begin. is willing to stay for 100 years. The Iraq war is a smoke and mirrors act for the uneducated who elected George Bush to a second term. It is the height of Houdini politics. The fear tactics that the Republicans and McCain use is deplorable. This old man of 72 with the hair trigger temper and four cancer operations could be replaced by Sarah Palin who got her first passport in 2007. She embraces the might is right philosophy that is a cornerstone of fear tactics. Indeed I am scared to have this small town girl with her finger on nuclear power and you should be too. Palin is just slightly left of a white supremest skinhead, She is a Pentacoastal fundamentalist who is as intolerant of other religions similar to any funamentalist terrorist. Remember, all terrorists are fundamentalists but the question really is are all fundamentalists potential terrorists? Yes they are.

Bush, McCain and Cheney have not only failed the American people, they have failed our allies and the entire world. After 9-11 America had the support of the world and even our traditional enemies. The Republicans alienated those by making a terrorist nation list and calling countries like Cuba ridiculously, the axis of evil. The Republicans led by the Bush - Cheney cowboy mentality and more lies of " Mission Accomplished" cast aside the genuine offers each ally made and bullied our allies to the point of exasperation. This turned much of the world against the US and left even our staunchest allies shaking their heads and rolling their eyes in disbelief. John McCain likes to call himself a maverick, yet he is just another arrogant cowboy who's power hungry methods will push the world farther away from us.

Why am I passionate about this election? Because I know that a maverick is a wild horse, America has suffered a maverick in George Bush for eight years of failure. We need a leader, not a self proclaimed maverick named John McCain. The world needs America to be a leader, not a maverick. We have had an unapproachable maverick horse for eight years and seen the damage it caused bucking off all cowboys who try to tame it. The maverick has kicked and bitten all the horses in the coral. Other horses have learned their lesson to stay away from the maverick. American needs a healer, not a maverick.

Barack Obama is a multicultural, multiracial leader who has the temper, smarts and vision to lead our country away from the Republicans and return America to respectability and confidence. Rather than go it alone like the maverick McCain, Obama will listen to his experts and lead. Successful leadership is listening to all the experts and making the right decisions, it is not being a bully or a maverick or a cowboy. I am asking everyone to honor my brother and vote for change, vote for Barack Obama. "We have nothing to fear except fear itself" do not be fooled by the Republicans and don't vote for another maverick.

Maverick McCain and Maverick Bush
Maverick ( From American Heritage Dictionary:
