Did Palin cheat on her taxes?
|
|
Now that her tax returns have been released, it appears that she didn't include those stinkin per diem payments for sleeping in her own bed.
It does not appear that Gov. Palin reported as income the per diem reimbursement she received for travel, meals, and lodging expenses as governor of Alaska.

I guess you want Barack to renounce the tax free presidential expense account.
Get a grip.
Have you been audited lately?
You couldn't find an audit with both hands.
I've had expense accounts - so try your BS on someone else.
If you're authorized expenses your authorized.
There are no travel deductions for staying at home.
I posted about this 3 weeks ago:
I wonder what IRS will think of this ruse

You mean like money you were paid - one taxation - then spent on a business trip.
Then got reimbursed for spending - so naturally taxation number two applies.
Anyone who lets you neard their taxes is a fool.
What do you care? Why are you hear attacking Steve?
Go suck an egg. Too much testosterone. You don't like what he copied and pasted, go to the source. This is party builder, not a place to come in here and rip on members and send nasty messages and emails when they didn't ask for it ROB in st Petersburg Florida.
GO FLORIDA VOTE FOR OBAMA! OBAMA! OBAMA!
"Regarding the per diem dispute, Comella said Juneau is the governor's home base and therefore whenever she works elsewhere, she is entitled to charge the state. Comella contended the per diem payments are not taxable."
Cohen an IRS expert:
"Cohen said it was fine for the state of Alaska to determine it was OK to reimburse Palin to work out of her home, but the state's decision didn't mean those benefits were not taxable by the federal government. "One has nothing to do with the other," said Cohen."
Besides----look at all the deductions Todd has taken for Snowmobile racing, (a hobby), claiming it is a business that is loosing money even as he is winning. lol
just a little sidenote
"John Kenneth Galbraith (the greatest liberal of all)"
You mean, one of the biggest followers of John Maynard Keynes.
He, "....lived in Berlin for several months in 1938, attending an international economic conference and developing his ideas."
I wonder whose ideas those were.
In his book American Capitalism: The Concept of Countervailing Power Galbraith, "...outlined how the American economy in the future would be managed by a triumvirate of big business, big labor, and an activist government. Galbraith termed the reaction of lobby groups and unions "countervailing power."
We sure had a demonstration of countervailing power this week didn't we.
YOU FASCIST PUNK !
NO DISPARAGING WORDS.
He's a republican troll, they will all crawl back in their holes when they lose.
RATED: 5 *****
Notice how after doing nothing to oppose this bailout steve now - well, not now but sometime - supposedly wants to "force" tax code changes and "make the affluent pay their fair share."
Where was all this zeal during the bailout ?
Sure steve, we know you will get right on tax reform - not today of course. Not this month either. Matter of fact, not this year.
Sometime, yeah sometime - people like you are always going to do something for the people SOMETIME - it's never NOW.
You had a chance to do something now and you couldn't or wouldn't or whatever.
Who do you think gets the $700 billion? Reply

$700 billion split 400 ways equals $1.75 billion a piece. Not bad for being born rich and electing one of your own! HA

So you can do math.
Michael knows that it isn't that simple. I like his instincts, though.
The bailout is a done deal. We need to move on to forcing tax code changes to make the affluent pay their fair share.
Where was all this zeal during the bailout ?"
Exactly! Now that it is done we have zero to bargain with so now after the unthinkable, we need to think?
"Politics is not the art of the possible. It consists in choosing between the disastrous and the unpalatable."
Translation - steve never had an original thought in his life.
Why don't you go to a "GREEN" site, you might be happier elsewhere?
Also, 'not declaring income' on your federal income tax return is against the law.
Voting for or against a piece of legislation by a Congressman is a responsiblity and reflects judgment.
The two sets of facts do not equate. Your analogy is bogus, Rob G.
Really, I thought I was still allowed to vote even if I possess a higher barr of acceptable actions from my "law makers." Thanks, once again, for telling me my place in the world. You know the difference between your opinions and say, O'Reilly's? Nothing, they have no merit or thought.
