Post from Steve Wilson's Blog:
Why McCain chose Palin, Part 3
Bad? Brilliant?

In my previous posts in this series, I used the "eye candy" allegation. Part 2.... "his judgment is so bad he thinks she's a reformer and earmark hater like him" argument. This post questions the process he used to pick her. ABC is reporting that he didn't decide until August 24 that he couldn't pick Joe Lieberman, and the next day that Pawlenty, Ridge and Romney would not have enough shock value.

Roll call interviewed Palin on August 14, were she said she had met McCain "once or twice".

So, if I get this right, McCain passed over Joe, who he has known for decades, for a person that he had only met, at most, 3 times in his life! All his decision really came down to was SHOCK VALUE?

Given that was the basis for the decision, he must be thrilled how well it worked. That's really putting "Country First" John McCain.

I think for part 4, I will ask the question: How do you vett "America's Hottest Governor"?.....google it, its not my terminology.

Caution: Democrats would be total morons if they focus their attacks on Gov. Sarah Palin. I am sure she is a fine woman, American, and public servant. It is John McCain who is running for President, and this American intends to get to know him better; the MSM just keeps telling us that we already know who he is... to which I say, we know his image.
