Media spin

As I predicted, the predominant media spin goes like this:
Why can't Obama close the deal? He spent all this money and he still loses.

Have you ever run against Hillary? Was Bill not a formidable politician? Has Hillary received less than 55% of the female vote in any contest so far? Women have always voted in significantly higher numbers in Democratic primaries than men. Give me a break. The real story of this primary election is how in the world could a relatively unknown black candidate be so competitive. How could anyone possibly out raise the Clinton money machine?

When he was at Columbia and Harvard... he understood there was an untapped resource... he has been planning to harvest them for the past 15 years.. and he did... quite easily... give a few commencement speeches and now they have given him their money... or perhaps their parents money...LOL...

Really it is not surprising when you consider how carefully planned/manipulating his campaign is.. it is geared toward a certain demographic... here read this...

Bill's going rate for speeches is $250,000. Are you saying that Obama can top that?

It is something to think about

The Cinton machine at this point would have knocked their opponents flat in the day of Bill Clinton. It is a fact the Obama campaign has mobilized many, raised much. In my case my money not my parents.
Could it be that there is a need in this country to move away from what is not working for us?

Women are smarter. That is what is so incredible. This contest is almost over. Why hasn't her advantage with women put him away? Every women in my family voted for her because it IS time that female ran things.

Because women also believe in the magic pill. You know, the one that melts fat away, makes sperm melt away, makes depression melt away. Okay, valium's were considered a magic pill but I'm not counting those ;-)

She thinks it's down to the white racist vote, said "Hillary can win the white racists".

I think that's one element, certainly. I think there are other elements, too. Perhaps the most important is what I call the "uncertainty factor".

Kind of "the Devil you know".

I believe that people voted for George Bush largely due to the "uncertainty factor". Although John Kerry was well-known in Washington and in Massachussetts, and among a few of the older anti-Vietnam War crowd, I sincerely believe many people who voted against him did so because they didn't know anything about him other than what the Republicans told them.

Older voters, as well as voters who do not have experience outside their immediate spheres tend to be cautious when it comes to doing anything different. I'm not talking about race, necessarily. More about change in general.
