Much has been made about individual preferences for the nominee, The DNC, the primary rules, and defecting from the Democratic Party.
In all the discussion and exclaiming, it seems to me we have forgotten the most important thing, defeating John McCain. What is at stake is more than important. This election, more than any I can remember, is about what our country will be in decades to come.
I do not just participate in the elections on this blog. I am working the telephone banks, sending emails, talking to everyone I know, writing letters to the editor that are not diatribes, hosting my own events, participating in others, and blogging elsewhere.

No matter your commitment to either candidate, please do the same. It is so important for the Democratic nominee to win this election.
