What is with the DNC Open Blog? It has been running since well before the 2004 election, and now it seems no more posting is allowed?

Anyone know why?

Did anyone receive any notification that it was closed for business?

It's not periodic.

I came home from vacation a week ago and the blog is unavailable for commenting. When you post something, it says you may not comment because comments are not allowed.

Disparaging comments will not be tolerated.

KA Open Thread

The "Comments" function started acting loopy on May 30. It wouldn't let people sign in until about the 5th try then when you WERE signed in and tried to make a comment it would tell you that you need to sign ig. THEN if you got through it would tell you that you have made too many comments in 1 minute. THEN, after all that if it did take the comment it wouldn't show up for about an hour, along with about a dozen other people's. And someetimes they would repeat 3 or 4 times.

Sometimes it would erase ALL comments from some point earlier in the day to the current time, so whenever you would refresh the page it would go back to the 12th post or whatever random point it chose and freeze there for several hours. and then they would reappear several hours later.

They tried fixing while it was still up and "operating" but found that they should just shut it down and go through the code line by line to find the glitsch. The last thing they posted about it was that they are working on it.

No prob. I just get tired of the "conspiracy" peeps claiming that Obama is behind it. In the last week Word Press, Blogger, Sitemeter, Google and other servers installed new spam filters and there was an incompatibility issue with a LOT of sites. The wingnut Pug sites claimed it was because of Obama (also repeated here by self proclaimed Hillbots, who really look like Pug plants to me).

As always, be sure to read all the internal links about what happened and when (the WHY is still under study, but it's looking more and more likely that the new "spam filter" programs are at fault).

After the third try, I figured I had struck out over the last week and wondered what I had done wrong, eeeks, had I offended anyone??? It was frustrating because so much has been going on, big issues that we all need to be aware of. The old divide and conquer tactics are everywhere. The BushPush is on and they are doing a war dance on the floor because they didn't get their way before recess...how funny!
Well, atleast it's a comfort everyone is still around and I'm now getting with it and developing my partybuilder seriously. Really, adjusting to the new dashboard is not hard if you just take a little time. I like it! I am happily adding new friends, enjoying everyone's contributions, finding local events, getting answers, and learning new news... but mostly, I like the stories on the front blog page just as they are with no comments, I am getting a good update on current events without the rude party crashers at 3am or so...they have nowhere to return to so they can just have fun chasing their own tales!
