Dems To Voters: Drop Dead

It looks like the Democrats have given the middle finger to voters on a number of fronts. First there's this:

Democrats Pull Troop Deadline From Iraq Bill That great sniveling dolt, Harry Reid called the complete cave-in a "compromise" and "great progress." The other issue Dems ran on and won was "draining the swamp" of corruption in Congress.

So try to wrap your head around Democrats Find Ethics Overhaul Elusive in House

You know what else these turncoats will find elusive in the next election? Campaing donations from private citizens and support from the voters who put them in office. We no longer have a Democracy in this country. Policy is for sale to the highest bidder, our votes are easily stollen and elected officials feel no obligation whatsoever to honor their campaign promises. I am just sick.

A country of the dollar, by the dollar, and for the dollar. People in this country are kindling for the great public bonfire.

So, who do we put in office next time around?

Ben Franklin I guess.

We've got to replace the entire bodies of the house and senate, the presidency, and probably a couple of supreme court seats as well.

I like Harry Reid and the job he has done.
Harry has been standing up to the Republicans on issue after issue, and if you can not see this, I wonder where in the world you are getting your news from.

The GOP has been ferociously attacking Harry from every angle, attempting to dig up all kinds of dirt from his past, but nothing appears to have stuck so far.

You attack Reid as "a sniveling dolt", perhaps you preferred "The Hammer"?

If you have no patience, you simply have no understanding of how a Democracy functions. Barring an out and out dictatorship, every form of government takes time to change course. The GOP will continue to use every tool at hand to stop Democratic progress.

I had no illusions that the Democrats were going to change the world in 100 days, or one year, or even 2 years.

I'll be happy if the Democrats can set the stage for a full withdrawal from Iraq immediately after the 2008 elections.

I'll be happy if the Democrats can significantly reduce (not eliminate) the influence of corporate dollars in Washington DC.

I'll be happy if the Democrats significantly reduce the federal deficit.

I'll be happy if the Democrats can keep George Bush from starting another ill-fated war with Iran.

I'll be happy if we further reduce the number of Republicans in the House and Senate in 2008, and replace W. with a Democrat.

Step by step, we can make this country better.

If you thought it would be easy to accomplish everything on the Democrats' agenda, come on back to the "Real World."

I'm sticking with Harry and Nancy. I am not a fair-weather Democrat and I have no illusions of the difficulties they face.

I don't think he's a sniveling dolt. But the House needed to send the same bill back WITH TIMELINE.

This is just acquiescing and it shows me a lack of resolve.

We need to get the troops out of Iraq - 60% of Americans agree with us on that point.

We want to get the troops our immediately - only about 30% of Americans agree with us on that point.

We are "the fringe" - when we say "All or Nothing" where:
All = Troops out this week.
Nothing = No more money for the War.

That's political reality.

That's because our leaders haven't been intelligent enough to present the people with more than two options.

That's why I think we should fire them all.

How about this?

Vicki
If you will retract "sniveling dolt" - I will agree that Matt and Anne K. present compelling arguments as to how and why the Congressional Democrats should have fought harder on these points.
I really do admire any guy that can grow up in a "house of ill-repute" and make it all the way to the top of the U.S. Senate. He's got "grit" in my book.
