Post from The Voter Phile:
What's in a name?
Bad? Brilliant?

Since the conception of the DNC's new national voter file project in December, it has been called The National Voter Database Project. While this title is both informative and accurate, it doesn't convey the scope or the purpose of the project well.

So, we're asking for your help! We're soliciting suggestions for a new name for the project.

While thinking about a name, keep in mind:

-- This project is an extension of the 50 State Strategy. We're providing the best possible voter data in every state in the union.
-- Although data focused, the project is fundamentally about winning elections -- in 2006 and beyond.

We already took PartyBuilder. Should've thought of that one.

Some Ideas

That way it sounds like a community, which it is. You get to imply that we are in the majority. And it makes sense if you are going to crossreference the data with maps.

VoteFinder

That's what you are doing right? Also, goes well with party builder. Implies both the data mining aspects and the neighborhood door to door aspects.

It also sounds like we might actually find them all with this magnificent tool, so Karl Rove better watch out.

Hope this helps,
Jamie
