what's scary is this is the second one so far and the season is only a little over a month old

my wifes oldest nephew is a head chef at some big resort in either Nags Head or Manteo my wife was from Chesapeake

for the info..I have family in Florida...we've only been back in NJ for 3 yrs...and thanks for the site very cool! My Dad would go nuts over it ... if only I could get my parents to go near a computer.

That is a heck of a lot of hurricane seasons ;)
I lived there 13 years and meant few people that had really come from FL. It must have been the area we were in ... on the Space Coast.
I really don't think I could haven't taken another one after the 3 that hit in a row,,during the second my Mom & Dad's dog passed and my Mother had a heart attack, I didn't know until 2 days later as there was no way for them to get in touch with me. And to top it off my husband was up here in NJ working ... there was no work in FL. I stick to visiting after the hurricane season is over.

the native American part of my family has always been here the Spanish side was brought to the New Orleans area around 1778 as soldiers to fight the british. The Anglo side came from MA, MD, VA, SC, GA and the Creole side from LA was a mixture from all over
