I believe it was a smart choice. She is pro union.

Palin is the only one with administrative experience. Think about it. Sounds like change to me.

I am not scared of a women president.


Another historical choice for women.

If he was after the votes of disaffected Hillary Clinton supporter a wiser choice would have been Kay Bailey Hutchinson, Susan Collins or Elizabeth Dole.

It is beyond obvious that McCain's VP pick was for the still unsettled Hillary voters. Nothing more & nothing less. This was the absolute dumbing down to those women who remain undecided or still angry about Obama being our nominee.

BUT what those voters need to try very hard to consider is the historic fact that Rebuplicans are the best at recycling losers. Should McCain lose as I fervently hope & pray for the sake of our country that he does... Sarah Palin has been thrust into the limelight & ain't going anywhere now. She is the new poster child of the right wing, conservative values & burned women everywhere. She is Hillary's worst nightmare in 2016.

So I can only hope that this will galvanize Hillary & her staunch supporters to put this woman & McCain in the dust. Or forget the hope one day for a Pres. Hillary Clinton & prepare for Pres. Sarah Palin.

I like this pick for a lot of reasons. First - I'm glad the Republicans didn't pick any of their qualified people. It will keep a lot of them at home in November.

All those Republicans who hated McCain in the first place - just saw him passover many more qualified long term Republicans for a gimmick pick.

Second - that experience argument loses much of its steam.

Third - She doesn't give him a state like another pick may have.

Fourth - It's a great pick for the wrong reasons. Women should have a place at the table for the Republicans - but this pick is ceremonnial at best. Talk about your trophy picks.

McCain has a trophy wife and a trophy VP. Her credentials are she looks good. When questioned about her qualifications - she was a mayor and a governor of the smallest population for about 2 years.

I am proud of her for accepting the challenge - I think if she ever figures out who he is - she will turn on him.

You might be surprised how many women will now vote for McCain because he had the guts to put a woman on the ticket with him.
I now have a choice between a man who put a woman on the ticket with him and a man who is half white but chooses to act as if he is all black since he is being proclaimed the first black American presidential candidate.
I don't want a president who wishes to ignore half of his heritage in favor of that given him by a deadbeat dad who did nothing to support him.
