Here in Kentucky's First Congressional District, our candidate Heather Ryan is really beginning to turn some heads. It all started at the Ruby Laffoon Dinner a couple of months ago, and has been building through to Fancy Farm weekend, where she fired up Democrats at the breakfast, and then took it to Republicans in the heat of Fancy Farm.   Read More »

This request may shock you all because it's actually coming from me, but there is an article out that "exposes" all the dirty little details of the Clinton Campaign and what they did to Barack Obama during the Primaries.I'm going to read it of course and I'm sure others will too.

But I just want to encourage everyone not to take the bait and get all upset to the point where we are all fighting again over it. The Media is losing it's argument that the Democratic Party is  "divided" , so all of a sudden, this crap comes out. Look, it was a contentions campaign and things happened.

What we can take from this article , rather than , being upset with Hillary and Bill Clinton , is an idea of what the Republicans are planning for the Fall as they have indicated they have every intention of mimicking the Clinton Campaign during the Primaries.

So, when we read it, read it as though it's the Mc Cain/Bush Campaigns Fall Strategy and try your best not to get upset all over again at the Clinton's. The Democratic Primaries are over and we are united .Don't get distracted with anger  when you read these memos.

I'm not going to exaggerate and I promise to be precise. Do you falk remember McBush statements in the past years that when Iraqis stand up we American will stand down? Now Iraqis are saying openly that they are ready to stand up for their cause and are asking us to leave as of 2010 as Obama has been calling for. And even George W.Bush is heading that way except Mr.McCain who is still in denial about the emerging facts. Now as President Bush convey is heading toward Obama's station, Mr.McCain and his convey left wondering and confused which way to go.Please you samaritan help them for god sake
As a Democrat, I think the Democratic National Commettee is not doing enough in attacking the Republican Party when it comes to developing events. For instance, in the past few days, there has been alot of flip-floping on issues by the Bush addministration as well as John McCain. The white House decided at last to send William J.Burns to Geneva to participate along with EU.in talks with Iran in regard to its controversial Nuclear program as well as its consideration establishing an American presence in Iran in addition to its consideration for the so called time horizon for the U.S. troops withdrawal from Irag. This is on one hand. On the other hand,John McCain hs yet to come out from his narrow box of endless U.S. troops presence in Irag despite the recent Iragi Government agreement with Obama time table withdrawal from Irag.
If we really want to reclaim the white house, we got to fight agressively.
Exxon Ed Whitfield has been trying to clean up his voting record for this election year. He knows it is a bad year for Republicans, and that he has been a shameless enabler of every failed policy of the Bush Administration. All the election year scuffling to clean up his record cannot hide the fact that he has been a constant, bitter opponent to reform of our healthcare system, and of providing equal access to those in poverty as those with wealth to healthcare. Lets look at some of Exxon Eddie's votes to limit the access of healthcare to working Americans.   Read More »
I have been looking at the Obaba leaked short list and have thrown in a few names that people suspect are on there but weren't leaked. there are only 10 people who could possibly be picked. 3 on the short list have said they won't take it (Webb, Strickland and Clinton). A Mark Warner pick would take him out of an important senate battle which could help democrats get to 60. there are a lot of names on there (E.G. Chris Dodd, Bill Nelson, Jack Reed and Evan Bahy) who are in the senate in states that have Republican Governors. so if Obama wins and the democrats get to 60 the Republican governor would get to pick the replacement, therefor the GOP could filibuster. I took off Kaine and Jones because they aren't well known enough, and John Kerry because simply it won't be john Kerry. Here are the 10 possible picks:

On the Confirmed Shortlist:
John Edwards
Tom Daschel
Joe Biden
Kathleen Sabillius
Sam Nunn

on the "widely suspected" Short list:
Bill Richardson
Wes Clark
Bob Graham

Wild Cards:
Chuck Haggle
Russ Fiengold

please tell me what you think of (a) Pick(s) by leaving a comment.

Bob Schaffer is the Republican opponent to Democrat Mark Udall in Colorado's political race for Wayne Allard's U.S. Senate Seat. Today, Huffington Post published some fact finding by Sam Stein that indicates Bob Schaffer's oil interests in Iraq may not have served U.S. interests in Iraq.

This story is a good indication that if elected Bob Schaffer wouldn't serve the interests of people in Colorado and the United States either.

Hillary Clinton LOST FAIR AND SQUARE. BARACK OBAMA IS THE NOMINEE, GET OVER IT. I know it sucks to have your candidate loose but it's not the end of the world. and for all of you that say Obama can't win in November, Most of you are the same People that said Hillary had the Nomination 16 Months ago. I have not yet looked at a single piece of statistical data that says Obama is not electable. for all of you who say he is "Flip flopping" on every Issue it is not true. He's only moved on Two Issues: FISA (And even there he hasn't moved as much as people say) and The Death Penalty. He did not Flip Flop on Campaign finance, that's a load of bull and you Know it, And Had Hillary been the Nominee she would have Moved too.

I'm sorry if this sounds blunt and Arrogant but I'm Sick of people who Keep feeding me this B.S.
I had a nice Fourth of July and I hope you had the same.
It's been a slow Political week.

Charlie Cook Has just released new House Ratings. There has been a big shift these from Just July 19th. Though Cook has not touched the Democrats Ratings, he has put 21 new republicans into the list of competitive seats and has moved 2 GOP Districts in New York from Tossup To Leaning Dem as well as one Lean GOP to Tossup and 3 Likely GOP to Lean GOP. As a student of Politics I know that Cook Does not just put 21 seats in to his ratings. The GOP back lash in the House could be Massive. 78 GOP held seats are now Considered Competitive (4 Lean Dem, 18 are Tossups) to only 35 Democrats (Only 7 are tossups none Lean GOP.

This hits Close to home for me. One congressman who was added (as Likely GOP) was Dana Rorabacher (Cringe), my Rep. My district's PVI is only R+6. Rorabacher won by 23 Points. It is looking More and More like that Margin will be squandered to perhaps as little as 5-6 Points. Though I am doubtful Rorabacher will be defeated, it is still possible. He is running against a popular Mayor (Debbie Cook, No relation to Charlie Cook) and I will do all I can to see this scum bag Defeated in November. So I am asking you to join me in a sense. If you live in a district where you have a scum-bag Incumbent like Dana Rorabacher, And your district is Rated by Charlie Cook (Or CQ, Or Stuart Rothenberg) try all you can to help get them out of office.

Debbie Cook For Congress in California's 46th CD !!!

Democrats For the House !!!
Happy Independence Day everyone!! Today our nation celebrates it's Declaration of Independence from the British Empire. After much sacrifice from that generation, our nation would go on to become the first that was built upon the liberal ideals of the Enlightenment. Our nation would become a bastion of freedom, and the "city on the hill" for the world to aspire to.   Read More »

Looking at the past as one my age must, one asks oneself,

"What have I been about?"

Everything I have been about suddenly is there in the forefront of American politics in 2008.

Did I help it get there? No, I was too busy campaigning for a woman President rather than a reversal of the ideology that guides American politics and American's personal objectives.

When I listen to Barack Obama, I hear

This is not about me. This about the nation and the world. It is about putting aside ego and self centeredness to allow the universal spirit of positivity to guide not just one's own choices, but the governing consciousness of not only America but the world.

I am begging Hillary supporters to flock to the Democratic cause and emphasize this positive world wide goal in every aspect of government, thru the city, thru the state, to the nation, to the United Nations, into the world.

To the women of America I say,

Let's help to run the nation as we run our homes and families with love, trust, and guidance toward a better tomorrow for all. I hope you, like myself, can reflect and change and climb aboard the people's movement to purge an old and failed form of thinking toward a form that emphasizes the greater good of all mankind not only in government but in all aspects of life.

I now believe that Barack Obama can move America toward the kind of national and world leadership it has craved forever, a world wide view based on experience in that world, that supports scientific advancements, social change, and stability not only for America but for the world and all humanity.

These are the things I have been about, and I almost missed the boat. I had to turn off the television to discover the truth. I suggest you turn off yours as well and seek the truth as well.

SNIP :

Senator Barack Obama is drawing up plans for extensive advertising and voter-turnout drives across the nation, hoping to capitalize on his expected fund-raising advantage over Senator John McCain to force Republicans to compete in states they have not had to defend in decades.

With his decision to give up public financing and the spending limits that go with it, Mr. Obama has added several seasoned hands to his advertising team, a harbinger of a multifaceted television campaign that people inside and outside Obama headquarters said would grow well beyond its already large presence in 18 states.

Yesterday I had my first $5 a gallon sighting. It was at a shell in Garden Grove and was for Diesel #2. The Regular was something like $4.70. Just a few weeks ago Prices here were only starting to flirt with $4. What drove prices up nearly $0.80 a gallon? It was Israel.

Two major officials from Israel have said something to the effect of "war with Iran is inevitable". in Order for Israel to go to war with Iran the US would have to approve it. The US controls the Iraqi air space, and Israel needs to fly over Iraq to get to Iran. In effect if Israel goes to war with Iran so do we.

let's pray (and I'm not even monotheistic) that this does not happen within the next 7 months. George Bush would gladly Approve of it and try to add us to the equation. We could loose another 10,000 if we go to war with Iran. If Israel Tries to go to war with Iran between now and January, god help us all (once again I'm not even Monotheistic).

This is among the most Important issues facing the 2008 race. McCain would go to war with Iran !!! If Lieberman is his VP and they win, there is no doubt in my mind that we would be at war with Iran within the first 6 months of the new administration. McCain has already joked about it in a manor most disgusting and unspeakable. He has nearly said as much as "we will go to war with Iran".

Obama has said he will meet with Mamud Amack Nadinijad, and treat war as a last resort. He Opposed the first wrong war and will oppose the second. He voted against the Kyl-Lieberman Amendment. We can Trust him on this.

So to anyone considering voting for McCain, Do you want another 10,000 dead in a war that should have never been?
I made Estimates a while ago on what Bob Barr would need to get to help Obama in the south. these numbers are in flux so here they are as of today. In parentheses is the percentage he is getting right now. (*-Obama is in the Lead):

FL*-1% (N/A)
GA- 7% (6%)
IN*-1% (N/A)
