Hello All,

I challenge all to do as I have done to provide voters with easy access to BarackObama.com I have run the simple ad BarackObama.com in my hometown paper as well as other surrounding communities to get this started. This simple ad will make it easy for people to get to know Barack. It will reach many people and make it easy for those who otherwise may not visit his website.

Just imagine if every small town paper in every state had this ad BarackObama.com how many people we could reach. Howe many new supporters will join and how many new supporters will donate.

The papers I ran ads from July 3 to Oct 30 are the Goffstown News, Bedford Bulletin,Bow Times, Hooksett Banner and Salem Observer. All these communities voted republican in 2004, "Its Time for a Change" and we the people can be part of this change. We can do this if we all join in. Lets start this in NH and spread the word across the country so all will have easy access to get to know Barack Obama and help elect him as our next president.

Those who want to help, please start to blog on this or run a simple ad BarackObama.com to move this idea forward.

Another idea is to purchase magnetic car signs from your local printer or from an online store in the size of a bumper sticker with BarackObama.com. Pass them out at the supermarket or post office. Put a bunch on your car with a sign free take one. When you do groceries and come back to your car some will have been taken by new supporters. People love these things. That way it will be like having moving billboards throughout your area.

Please email this blog to others. Thank You, Wayne

Bloggers to Receive Unprecedented Access, Connect Diverse Communities to Historic Event Progressive Community to Provide Additional Workspace, Resources for Bloggers During Convention Week

DENVER - As part of its continuing commitment to engage a broad spectrum of audiences in new and creative ways, the Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) today announced that a record number of blogs have been credentialed as members of the media for the 2008 Democratic National Convention at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colo. These blogs will help ensure that communities across the country are connected to the Convention through the eyes and ears of a growing, diverse group of online voices.

Organizers also announced that blogs credentialed by the DNCC will have access to a dedicated "Blogger Lounge" inside the Pepsi Center, equipped with televisions, technology resources and workspace to facilitate their reporting. All bloggers will have access to the Convention floor, press briefing areas, caucus meetings, filing centers and other auxiliary events open to members of the media.

"Since we began planning, one goal has been at the core of all our efforts: to engage as many communities as possible in the Convention experience. We're excited to provide bloggers with the opportunity to be the eyes and ears of so many at this Convention," said Aaron Myers, Director of Online Communications for the DNCC. "Today, we are shattering the standard we set just four years ago, when the 2004 Democratic Convention was the first to credential blogs. This year, we will more than triple the number of blogs credentialed to witness history in the making."   Read More »
Announcing the State Blogger Corps
Posted by Aaron Myers on May 14, 2008

Months ago, we began the process of credentialing bloggers who cover state and local politics, as part of the DemConvention State Blogger Corps. More than 400 blogs applied for the program. And they’re incredible. Some blogs are the work of dedicated groups of activists, a few are full-time professional endeavors, and many others are the products of busy individuals blogging about local politics in their free time. Those selected to be part of our State Blogger Corps were announced today. And in every case, these bloggers have become experts on the political happenings in their states.

You’ll see a list below of the 55 blogs that will comprise the State Blogger Corps. They’ll be seated with their respective delegations at the Convention. These bloggers will have some of the best seats in the house and they’ll be the eyes and ears of local audiences online around the country. DNC Chairman Howard Dean recorded a message to introduce the program " so I’ll let him explain the rest.

Is one of your favorite blogs missing from the list? We had hundreds of great applicants and only a few spots. The Convention staff will work hard to be sure bloggers can cover the Convention from Denver or wherever they may be - with unprecedented access. And wait a few weeks. We’ll soon announce the Convention’s General Blogger Pool, an additional list of diverse blogs covering national politics, niche issues, and more state and local topics.

Congratulations to each blog selected for the State Blogger Corps. I’ll see you in Denver!

The DemConvention State Blogger Corps is listed below.

Gary Hart, U.S. Senator (Ret.) and former presidential candidate, sent this message out recently for U.S. Senate candidate Mark Udall from Colorado:

Dear Friend,

I am writing my fellow Coloradans who care about our country's future because the 2008 election may be the most important election in a generation. More than ever, we need wise and enlightened leadership in Congress and in the United States Senate, where we are just a few votes shy of the 60-votes necessary to reverse the disastrous course George W. Bush has set for America.

Representative Mark Udall (D-CO) is running for the U.S. Senate from our great state.

Mark Udall is a champion for the environment, civil liberties, renewable energy, and pace and stability in the Middle East.

Mark Udall had the presence of mind to vote against the war in Iraq in 2002, and is working hard to bring about a responsible end to the war in Iraq.

He is also the House sponsor of the Webb-Udall resolution to prevent war with Iran without Congressional approval.

So join us and help us continue to turn Colorado blue.

The editors of student newspapers in Colorado and Oregon are cursing for our freedom in support of of a student in Florida who dared question the legitimacy of this regime and call for impeachment. How does their cursing compare to the obscenities of this administration?

The independent student newspaper at the University of Oregon, THE DAILY EMERALD explained the four word headline of its editorial, that included a four letter word:
Desperate times call for desperate measures, however, which makes this a perfect moment for a strong statement in support of free speech.

Our bold text is in response to another strong statement, one from the editorial board of the Rocky Mountain Collegian, the student newspaper at Colorado State University. Their statement was written in response to the Sept. 17 Tasing of Andrew Meyer, a student at the University of Florida, during a question-and-answer session with Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry.

The 2008 Democratic race in Colorado Congressional District 4 (CD-4) has narrowed, and lost a great deal of its luster. Yesterday, Wednesday September 26, Angie Paccione dropped out of the primary race with Betsy Markey and Eric Eidsness. Her announcement is in the extended text.

Pathways to Leadership appears to have gained Angie's undivided attention. I can't fault her for her decision, because it looks like my dream job also. But, it is yet to be seen if either Betsy or Eric can rise to Angie's level of voter support and volunteer dedication and enthusiasm.   Read More »
I have some great news to share and a request to make for your help. I just passed through the House of Representatives with broad Democratic and Republican support, a package of common-sense proposals to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels and to increase our usage of clean, renewable energy.

For the first time ever, national energy policy will require all electric utilities to acquire 15% of their power from wind, solar, and other renewable energy sources by the year 2020. I sponsored or cosponsored important provisions in the energy bill that will provide funding for climate change research, surface owner protection, funding for research into carbon capture and storage, and protection of the Roan Plateau.

But the fight's only begun, and I need your help right away.   Read More »
Colorado Governor Bill Ritter survived an assassination attempt tonight. A would-be assassin in a tuxedo was stopped by the Governor's security detail after firing into the Governor's office in the Colorado State Capitol. Aaron Snyder, 33, was shot and killed by members of the Colorado State Patrol after refusing orders to drop his gun. Before his death, he announced, "I am the emperor, and I'm here to take over state government."

No one but the gunman was shot in the assassination attempt.

Senator Obama's speech this morning gave us all another glimpse of the phenomenal charisma for which he has come to be known. Indeed, like most people who have followed his career, it was that same personal gravity which initially attracted us to him at the Democratic National Convention back in 2004. We were all privileged watch the genesis of a most improbable rise to national prominence. My respect and esteem for him began there and has never ceased.   Read More »
