 DESPITE THE GOLDEN GLOW OF YESTERDAY'S NEWS, THE DOLLAR IS STILL RUMPLED

With all the excitement and good news of all our many Hillary sisters returning to the fold--YEA!  Welcome.  Together, YES WE CAN!  Together as we move forward, I'll keep my opinions of Clintons to myself if you will do the same regarding Obama.  Democrats can win and we still must work together.

There is other important news. Because I know that some Republican financial smoke and mirrors magicians in this administration will try to point to the fact the the dollar has appreciated as news that our economy is on the mend--please don't be fooled.  If you have Republican friends who point to this as evidence, tell them not to be fooled.

As you know :) I'm following Colombian news very closely these days because I don't want Bush to squeeze by and pass the evil Colomiban Free Trade Agreement before he slithers out of the White House.  Yesterday I noticed in its financial reporting section that the peso weakened 0.9% as the dollar appreciates.

Normally this might be cause for celebration in the USA, but not this time.

Hillary Clinton laid out her Plan for strengthening the middle class. I think it's a great plan for the USA. But I also think that it is a great example for the rest of the world.

These are very sad days for the US and the world. There is no timeline for withdrawal of troops from Iraq. Bush is not changing his mind and the congress failed to stop him.

For me, (I am from Germany) it is very interesting to see the different reaction in the media between the US and Germany. There is a post on Dailykos by jedinecny on this topic:
