I was not in love with Barak Obama. I did love his speech 4 years ago and thought to myself, one day he would make a great president, but, at the time, I never dreamed it would be this year, this time, this election, not against my Hillary!

Yes, I love Hillary Clinton. I love Bill Clinton. I do not care that he got a blow job in the White House. I do hate he lied about it. He should've just said, "Yes, I got a blow job in the hall off the Oval Office, so what!!", then no one could have said a damn thing about it, but Hillary. of course.

Some said Hillary stayed because she loved the power, not me, I say she stayed because she loved the man. I read her book. I read his book. One thing I say and I believe with all my heart, those two love one another and, it seems, they have since they met in college...since they started that conversation that hasn't ended.

When Big Bush left office there was a HUGE deficit, when Bill left office we had a surplus, now with Little Bush leaving office we have a HUGE deficit with no end in site. I think Hillary could have gone a long way in helping get that under control again. I believe she stands for the common man the way Bill did. The little people, the way the old democrats did. Seems the Bush Administration has broken the backs of the working middle class and the rich have only gotten richer the past 8 years while the country has gone in the hole.

The changes Bush has made in his environmental policies/clean air acts have gone backwards 20 years and only 1 animal has gone on the endangered species list, the polar bear, after Bush finally admitted there may be such a thing as "global warming". DOH!   Read More »
Now that the dust has settled in Denver, and all the kool aid was drunk. with McCains pick for VP it is now even clearer what a mistake Obama made by NOT picking Hillary as his running Mate. Us Hillary fans who can NOT and will NOT bring our selves to vote for Obama we now have the Opportunity to help smash the glass ceiling that we helped Hillary, put those 18 million cracks in.
I have been a strick democrat since 1981, have donate much money to Democratic causes. this will be MY first year of NOT voting for the democrat on the ticket. This is the beaty of free speach adn voting our hearts adn councious that we DON NOT have to vote because we are told to.
When I found out that a fellow Michgan delegate was removed from the convention by obama's staff because They DID NOT want to VOTE for OBAMA and would rather vote for McCain. this shows me how Sen Obama DOES NOT believe in Free speech if you DO NOT agree with him.
HIS Policies and votes show how much of a risk he really is. he DOES not gaurantee he will place any other types of Supreme court justices any better than BUSH.
The Party officals of Dean adn pelosi are not any better, Ms Pelosi has handed President BUSH EVERYTHING he wanted adn more on a silver platter. she has NEVER stood up againgst him and will probally fight back on Obama's plans over Bush's/ What a SHAME.
This is why I WILL write in Hillary os not a vote for McCainbut as A VOTE AGAINGST Mr OBAMA and the DNC.
If More people did this it woud Show the leaders of the DNC that we will NOT just DRINK the Koolaid and tell us to vote for the candidate no matter how bad they may be because of a back room deal made in 2004 with Obama.

Are these blogs contaminated by professional paid assasins in the employ of funded campaigns?

In July 2007 I read every word of every website  of all the Democrat and Republican Presidential candidates.

Then I wrote my Top Ten List and the http://www.franklynch.org website including only ideas that were not on any Democratic or Republican Presidential candidate website at that date, the sole exception being that Kucinich had the same elegant version of single payer healthcare.

Clinton had dropped universal healthcare after the Republicans threatened to put her in jail for unauthorized expenditure of taxpayer funds in 1993. She never again sponsored unversal healthcare until after I embarassed her on September 11, 2007. On that date she was in my neighbordhood doing a "not really campaigning" fundraiser in which her only words on healthcare were cheaper drugs for seniors and more healthcare for children, less than truly revolutionary concepts.

At the same time a mile down the same street the ABC station televised me campaigning for universal healthcare. Since her staff scans television news wherever she appears, they viewed the five televised spots of me pushing unversal healthcare when she did not.

Shortly AFTER that embarassment, she REMEMBERED that she used to support it.  She researched me so thoroughly that she found out my mother belonged to an HMO named "America's Health Choice" and Clinton adopted the name of my mother's HMO for her universal healthcare plan.

As that website says, I filed for President with the FEC because I was disgusted that Hillary's and Obama's websites at July 2007 had almost no specific steps on how to achieve change, even though he had been campaigning for seven months and had spent more than a hundred million, including millions on consultants and writers to flesh out and put substance to his rhetoric.

Silly me, I thought that if someone were to run for President, they should have their ideas fleshed out with specific plans BEFORE starting a campaign, otherwise why run? That is not a rhetorical question. I think the reason to run for President is because you have specific ideas. If your initial,  starting Presidential website lacks specific steps you intend to implement, why bother running?. Much worse is if after running for seven months, there is no excuse for not having specific, concrete actual steps, except if you have no  specific, concrete ideas?

Isn't the purpose of running for change to have specific changes written down? All of the Democratic candidates were insider Senators or Congressmen (if Obama was an outsider, how come he lived off the taxpayers for the last ten years? Ha!) I knew there was no way the Party machine would let a true outsider like me into the debates or on the ballots, so I used faxes and certified mail to the State Party Chairpersons, and within 48 hours, the elements of my Top Ten List and website began appearing on the DNC website and on Hillary's and Obama's website. It is an incontrovertible fact that at July 20, 2007, neither Hillary nor Barack had Universal Healthcare, plug-in electric cars, windfarms, talking to our enemies, Energy Independence, Free College or College Tuition Assistance, or the phrase "Bold New Ideas" on their websites. How short memories are!

Sure, if you Google any idea you will find many hits, but none of the ideas on my Presidential website were on Hillary's or Obama's websites at July 2007, and I did in fact succeed in inserting them into the current Presidential campaign and defined the major issues of this campaign.

And by doing so I changed America!

What amazes me is the vicious antagonism of this Democratic website toward a Democrat because he contributed to defining the issues and expanded the debate.

Perhaps Fox News may have something when they claim that we Dems really suppress free speech and ideological expansion while claiming the opposite?

You and Howard Dean have proven to me that our Party is the old establishment, and is highly resistant to true change. We won the 2006 elections to bring change, but tell me please, why are Congressional approval ratings so low after our 2006 victory?

I urge everyone to embrace outsiders who publicize ideas of change, instead of responding with pettiness and calling people "crazy." First, that is immature. And Second, That is what Hitler's Brown Shirts did.

Found C-SPAN and watched from 5: 30 pm to 11pm, and this convention keeps getting better.

I loved how the regular everyday people videos decorated the Convention tonight. I was really touched with the one concerning our troops and the reality of how the war is affecting our troops and their families. I really enjoyed Tammy Coldwater's speech.

I loved how Nancy Pelosi and the Iraq War Vet Democrats presented themselves and spoke about progress and the desire for change.

I was inspired by Bill Clinton and Joe Biden's speech, but that is nothing new. Bill Clinton is a walking inspiration every convention time. Not to mention, Joh Kerry's speech tracked our nation's transition and the desire for change beautifully.

What really surprised me and made me proud was when Hillary Clinton asked the panel of delegates to suspend the rules and vote unanimously in a call for unity, and the surprise vote by acclamation. I couldn't be more proud.

Can't wait for tomorrow, when Barack Obama makes his acceptance speech. Even though that surprise appearance was really something.

I'm ready for action!

Michael Wilson of Florida, a Republican and Air Force medic veteran of Iraq, will formally nominate Barack Obama as the Democratic Party’s candidate. In her speech last night Hillary rejected "The Cult of Personality" which has built up around her - and which can develop around any politician. She did this by asking one simple question:

"Were you in this for me....?"

She then went on to reject the idea that electing the first female president somehow transmits that personal accomplishment by a female politician to all women in some material way?

It is equally untrue that electing Barack Obama to the presidency will somehow automatically transmit the benefits of his personal accomplishment to all the members of his race in some material way.

If that were true we could elect Idi Amin - the butcher of Uganda - and in theory receive the same benefits as electing Senator Obama.

Obviously that is not true and it is why Hillary was correct to reject the "Cult of Personality" which had developed around her candidacy.

Remarks of New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, for her address to the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday night in Denver:
---------------------------------

I am honored to be here tonight. A proud mother. A proud Democrat. A proud American. And a proud supporter of Barack Obama.

My friends, it is time to take back the country we love.

Whether you voted for me, or voted for Barack, the time is now to unite as a single party with a single purpose. We are on the same team, and none of us can sit on the sidelines.

This is a fight for the future. And it's a fight we must win.

I haven't spent the past 35 years in the trenches advocating for children, campaigning for universal health care, helping parents balance work and family, and fighting for women's rights at home and around the world ... to see another Republican in the White House squander the promise of our country and the hopes of our people.

And you haven't worked so hard over the last 18 months, or endured the last eight years, to suffer through more failed leadership.

No way. No how. No McCain.

Barack Obama is my candidate. And he must be our president.

Tonight we need to remember what a presidential election is really about. When the polls have closed, and the ads are finally off the air, it comes down to you - the American people, your lives, and your children's futures.   Read More »

Nailed It !

Tonight , Hillary Clinton has successfully convinced me that she really is thinking about the future of America. All personal feelings aside , even I would have to be a stone cold fool to deny that she indeed wants this party united behind Barack Obama and she indeed wants him to be the next President of the United States of America and that she will indeed , do all she possibly can to help us make that happen. I am fully convinced that Hillary Clinton is telling the truth. She is a proud supporter of Barack Obama and he is her candidate.

Dee Anna

P.S. I am removing myself from all Anti-Hillary groups effective immediately.

Switched to PBS.

Watched since 8pm, and I have to say this:

The hope and desire and motive to stand strong with my party and work for America by doing what I can do locally through nationally.

Such strong voices from our Democratic women. I just wish that the DNC pulls up a tribute to Stephanie Tubbs Jones, whose courage, passion, and spirit is nothing but fuel to our fire for change.

GOBAMA/BIDEN!

I am happy to be a Democrat! I am proud to be a Democrat!
So, I just finished watching Convention coverage from ABC( should I use another source to view), and I have to say that tonight was a wonderful first night.

I just wished I saw the tribute video to Edward Kennedy and heard the other people speak. Although, I was pleased and inspired by Edward Kennedy.

The fact that he can still be so lively and passionate and really is a unified symbol for the party. And Michelle Obama's video and speech really made me just want to run to the nearest headquarters and phone bank like crazy.

Also, the only thing that bothered me was seeing displeased faces of people who looked like they were having a difficult time accepting the reality around them. It's like watching Barbara Bush after Hurricane Katrina. Hopefully, tomorrow night will be better.

Can't wait to watch tomorrow night!
Simply Putâ"Get Up and Vote for Barack!!
I have an Opinion.
8/21/08

I urge all Americans to get up and make a change. The lead between Obama and McCain are very narrow ever since the Forum on Saturday June 16th .

I watched a special on CNN last night and if you compare Obama and McCains documentaries, McCain has more negative experience that stems with keeping secrets. He failed his divorce and he was caught up in a political triangle which involved money. Barack, on the other hand, has not cheated on his wife and the only problem he was caught up in had nothing to do with him directly.

In regards to the forum, it is difficult to believe that Americans missed the fact that upon the discussion of abortion, McCain quickly tried to change the subject. He did not even want to answer the question. He said can we get back to discussing about the judicial process. I can not believe how journalists missed that. How did McCain know in advance about that topic? Obama answered all of Warrens questions fully. Come, on. Would you want a president that did not have an explanation for his answers? He would leave you guessing about his motives.

Can they see that McCain is not trustworthy and that he does not mind sending anyone to war âto stayâ. I can not believe his answers at the forum on Saturday. And the host, Rick Warren, covered his tardiness up for him.. He knew McCain was not present in the first place because that is why Barack came out onto the stageâ"on time, like a president should. Where was McCainâ"would you want to hire a late president who hides with secret service at an important meeting?   Read More »

(Proudly cross-posted at Clintonistas for Obama)

Sometimes, I still feel disappointed about this election. Sometimes, I keep asking myself "Where's Hillary?" Sometimes, I become frightened at the thought of Democrats losing. Sometimes, I still wish I could see Hillary back on the campaign trail again.

Sometimes, I wonder what the hell I'm doing now. But you know what? I just can't keep looking back. I can't let Hillary down now.

Oklahoma delegates may cling to Clinton
By Chris Casteel
Washington Bureau, Daily Oklahoman

http://newsok.com/article/3284529

WASHINGTON — Many Oklahoma Democrats pledged to support Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton at the national convention still strongly back the former first lady and want to see her chosen as the vice-presidential nominee, even though that seems unlikely.

Several of Clinton's delegates from Oklahoma said they wanted her name placed in nomination at the convention, which begins Aug. 25 in Denver, before it was announced Thursday that she would be part of the traditional roll call of the states.

"I was elected to vote for Hillary, and there is not any reason at all that her name should not be put in nomination,” said Jacque Tomsovic, a delegate from Tulsa.

Ron Dye, a Clinton delegate from Midwest City, said, "Senator Clinton must be included in the roll call vote. Why would you not? She has more popular votes nationwide. Why would you exclude her?”

But Stuart Price, a Clinton delegate from Tulsa, said he didn't think a roll call vote was necessary at a convention that will nominate Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois to be the presidential nominee.

Compromise Platform Draft Goes to Democratic Convention
By Sarah Wheaton
New York Timew Politica Blog

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/08/09/compromise-platform-draft-goes-to-democratic-convention

The Democratic Party’s 186-member platform committee just endorsed a draft of the party’s 2008 policy outline at a public meeting today in Pittsburgh, granting several concessions to supporters of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. The document will next go before delegates at the party’s convention in Denver for ratification.

The language relating to health care coverage was seen as the biggest coup for the Clinton camp. The issue represented one of her most substantial policy disagreements with Senator Barack Obama. Mrs. Clinton favors mandating universal health care coverage, while Mr. Obama has said that health care should be made affordable enough for everyone to purchase it, but he would not force people to hold it.

THE 2008 CONVENTION:
AMERICANS GATHERING TO CHANGE THE COURSE OF A NATION

Democrats Announce Headline Speakers

Kicking Off Week-Long Convention Programming Roll-Out

DENVER - The Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) and the Obama for America Campaign today announced the headline speakers for the 2008 Convention. The Democratic National Convention will be held in Denver from August 25th through August 28th.

"The 2008 Convention will highlight Americans coming together to change the course of this nation," said Kansas Governor and Convention Co-Chair Kathleen Sebelius. "We are at a critical moment in our nation’s history. The politics and policies that have divided us will not allow us to achieve the change we need. Barack Obama is a leader to move America in a new direction and bring us together to turn moments of great challenge into moments of great opportunity. This year’s Democratic Convention is the story of people from across the country who believe it is time for change."

Sebelius noted that the Convention will use innovative techniques to highlight the people fueling this national movement for change.

"Just as the Obama Campaign uses the energy and passion of grassroots volunteers combined with state-of-the-art technology to bring people into their positive campaign for change, so will the 2008 Convention use the voices of the people through technology and innovative programming to lay out Barack Obama’s vision and policies for how to move America in a new direction," Sebelius added.

Following today’s announcement of the headline speakers for the four nights of the Convention, the DNCC will unveil additional Convention program details and speakers throughout this week. Monday through Wednesday’s Convention programs will be held at the Pepsi Center. Barack Obama will accept the Democratic nomination for President on Thursday, August 28th at INVESCO Field at Mile High.

2008 DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION HEADLINE SPEAKERS

Monday August 25th’s headline prime-time speaker will be Michelle Obama.

Senator Hillary Clinton, who is a champion for working families and one of the most effective and empathetic voices in the country today, will be the headline prime-time speaker on Tuesday August 26th.

The headline prime-time speaker on Wednesday August 27th will be Barack Obama’s Vice Presidential nominee.

On Thursday, August 28th, the DNCC will throw open the doors of the Convention and move to INVESCO Field at Mile High so that more Americans can take part in the fourth night of the Convention as Barack Obama accepts the Democratic nomination.
