Even nuttier than speaking at the Republican Convention, was Lieberman's appearance at Hagee's Christians United for Israel. I think perhaps you need to be a Jew to fully appreciate the utter irony and weirdness of this.  If there is a rapture Joe, your a$$ will be in the lake of fire with the rest of us Jews.  LOL. 

Addressing a group of Christians run by Rev. John Hagee, a paster who was repudiated by John McCain in May because of racists remarks that Hagee had made.  The group that Lieberman addressed is called "Christians United for Israel.

Prior to making this address. over 40,000 signatures were delivered to Liebermans office from Jews like me asking Liebermann to not speak at the event.  The Executive director of J Street spoke out and said that Hagee and his supporters bear no resemblance to the the consensus of the vast majority of American Jews who support a negotiated two-state resolution with Israel and Palestine.

Among Lieberman's sickening lines from that speech, the two that induced my gag reflex were these:  1)  "I am your brother Joseph."  and 2) He compared Hagee to Moses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also Lieberman and his campaign repeatedly told voters that Ned Lamont's campaign (the Democratic opponent), or someone who supported Lamont was responsible for crashing the Lieberman website before the 2006 election.   Then we found out that Joe Lieberman, the darling of the DLC who was supported by DLC members over the DEMOCRATIC nominee in 2006 knowingly repeated again and again the lie and innuendos about his site being crashed by Lamont after they had been told by the FBI that they (Lieberman) had crashed their own site. 

He was also assisted by the Attorney General of Conn. Lieberman and the Attorney General of Conn were told after an FBI investigation a WEEK BEFORE the election that it was the fault of the configuration of the configuration itself, the poor design, that crashed the site. They knew a week before the election and never corrected their accusation.  In fact there is a video on the Internet of one of the spokespeople from the Lieberman campaign.THEY KNEW A WEEK BEFORE THE ELECTION AND THE NEWS HAS JUST RECENTLY BEEN RELEASED DUE TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT.

The cartoon below by John Klossner says it all for me about the way I feel  regarding Lieberman.  Let us also remember that Joe Lieberman would not be where he is today if it were not for some members of the DLC who supported his campaign for CT Senator against the Democrat, Ned Lamont.  Al From, a Democrat and member of the DLC managed Lieberman's campaign.  Bill Clinton, a member of the DLC is reported to having said that he didn't care who won--Lamont or Lieberman.

I detest Lieberman and the DLC who helped to put Lieberman in office. However, the fact is that Lieberman does tend to vote with the Democrats on every other issue than the war.  And I believe that he makes up our majority count for 51% in the senate (since he bills himself as as a democrat leaning independent)

I think that is the only reason that our Democratic Senators have continued to play nice with him.  If we sever all ties with him, he may come entirely out of the closet and burst forth in all the glory of who he really is, voting on ALL issues with Republicans.

Strip that ass of his seniority today!  He is using it to assist a Republican nominee for President!  He should have been stripped of it anyway when he ran as an independent!! The only reason he wasnt is because he is a DLC pet.

PRESSURING THE SENATE DEMS TO STRIP LIEBERMAN OF HIS COMMITTEES AND SENIORITY - IT SEEMS TO BE WORKING:Put pressure on the Senate Dems to strip Joe Lieberman of his seniority and committees with the Democrats, which he is using to help elect McCain while attacking Obama.

If the Dems can't or won't deal with a slimeball like Lieberman, why should we expect them to deal with other complex and/or controversial issues? So if you have a Democratic Senator[s] call them now and tell them to pressure Harry Reid to strip Lieberman from any of his associations with the Senate Dems.

And if they tell you they would lose their majority if they did this, tell them the Jeffords Rule would prevent this and besides, why would any of them want to be associated with someone like Lieberman because his stench rubs off on all of them.

[In the summer of 2006  Independent Joe Liebermann and his campaign made a big stink, playing the wronged victim and  accusing his Democratic opponent, Ned Lamont, of hacking into his site and making it crash.  A big FBI investigation was initiated, of course at the expense of the taxpayer, and the results of the investigation yielded that it was the poor design of the Liebermann website that caused the crash and not foul play.] 

An email was sent from the FBI to Attorney General Richard Blumenthal regarding their conclusion of the hacking investigation.  The email was sent out on October 25, 2006, about a week before the general election.  The only reason it saw the light of day was because of an FOI request. 

Several journalists are quoted to have interviewed Blumenthal after Oct. 25 but before the election and Blumenthal is quoted as saying “as yet we’ve reached no conclusions.”  It would appear that members of the DLC, including Lieberman, thought that it was OK to let the voters go ahead and believe the smear campaign that Lieberman had launched—SHADES OF Hillary Clinton’s lie about people from Obama’s campaign meeting with the Canadians to say that NAFTA was just campaign talk when it fact, it was someone from HER campaign that did that.  The Canadians have apologized to Obama, but not Hillary. 

Not only has she not apologized for her "misspeak", I've heard that she is even repeating the untrue story about Obama in Pennsylvania. Now that’s audacity , or is it mendacity?

A lot of people like to remember Bill Clinton as a Democratic President.  That he was, but more than once he acted like he was not as has his wife.

Ned Lamont, Lieberman's Democratic opponent in 2006 was very antiwar.  Lamont won, inspite of Clinton's endoresement of his DLC Bud, Lieberman.  After Lamont won the nomination, Clinton was reported to have said that he didn't have any problem with either candidate winning.

Bill Clinton himself, another DLC member was quoted in 2006 as saying that said he “wasn't too concerned about who won the election between Ned and Joe.” 

The DLC as you know is not an “official” group that is sanctioned by the Democratic party so please don’t misunderstand that I’m criticizing the Democratic Party because I am not.  The DLC are arrogant, self-proclaimed leaders of the Democratic Party whose membership is made up of approximately 37% of Democrats in Congress.  Bill and Hillary count among the membership of the DLC.  Those who do not are among the great Democratic stalwarts like Barbara Boxer, Patrick Leahy, Russ Feingold, Barack Obama and Ted Kennedy.
