Hello All,
I challenge all to do as I have done to provide voters with easy access to BarackObama.com I have run the simple ad BarackObama.com in my hometown paper as well as other surrounding communities to get this started. This simple ad will make it easy for people to get to know Barack. It will reach many people and make it easy for those who otherwise may not visit his website.
Just imagine if every small town paper in every state had this ad BarackObama.com how many people we could reach. Howe many new supporters will join and how many new supporters will donate.
The papers I ran ads from July 3 to Oct 30 are the Goffstown News, Bedford Bulletin,Bow Times, Hooksett Banner and Salem Observer. All these communities voted republican in 2004, "Its Time for a Change" and we the people can be part of this change. We can do this if we all join in. Lets start this in NH and spread the word across the country so all will have easy access to get to know Barack Obama and help elect him as our next president.
Those who want to help, please start to blog on this or run a simple ad BarackObama.com to move this idea forward.
Another idea is to purchase magnetic car signs from your local printer or from an online store in the size of a bumper sticker with BarackObama.com. Pass them out at the supermarket or post office. Put a bunch on your car with a sign free take one. When you do groceries and come back to your car some will have been taken by new supporters. People love these things. That way it will be like having moving billboards throughout your area.
Please email this blog to others. Thank You, Wayne

Democrats are on a roll with three Congressional wins. The latest win in in northern Mississippi's first Congressional District which is across the state line from Memphis, TN.
According to Congressional Quarterly (CQ):
http://www.cqpolitics.com/wmspage.cfm?docid=news-000002838030
The 3 Democratic Congressional victories are:
1. March 8, 2008,
Illinois, 8th Congressional District,
Bill Foster(D)
- seat previously held by former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert(R)
2. May 3, 2008,
Louisiana, 6th Congressional District,
Don Cazayoux(D)
3. May 13, 2008
Mississippi, 1st Congressional District,
Travis Childers(D)
Victory! Victory! Victory!
Go DCCC!

According to Congressional Quarterly (CQ):
Democrat Travis W. Childers won the House special election runoff Tuesday in Mississippi’s 1st District, defeating Republican Greg Davis by a sound 54 percent to 46 percent with all precincts reporting. * * * The win by Childers (CHILL-derrs) also boosted the Democrats to a 236-seat majority to 199 Republicans.
http://www.cqpolitics.com/wmspage.cfm?docid=news-000002838030
* * * President Bush was favored by 62 percent of 1st District voters in 2004, and Republican Roger Wicker â€" who in January vacated the seat to accept a U.S. Senate appointment â€" won a seventh and final House victory with 66 percent in 2006.
The 3 Democratic Congressional victories are:
1. March 8, 2008,
Illinois, 8th Congressional District,
Bill Foster(D)
- seat previously held by former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert(R)
2. May 3, 2008,
Louisiana, 6th Congressional District,
Don Cazayoux(D)
3. May 13, 2008
Mississippi, 1st Congressional District,
Travis Childers(D)
Victory! Victory! Victory!
Go DCCC!
And it dealt another stinging psychological as well as tangible blow to the Republican Party, which poured well more than $1 million into its unsuccessful effort to salvage the seat and now looks far more likely to suffer further losses in the November general elections than to score the 19-seat net gain it needs to reclaim the majority. * * * The national GOP went even further to try to save the Mississippi seat, with Vice President Dick Cheney shuttling in for an election-eve rally for GOP nominee Davis in a futile effort to pump up turnout among the district’s typically dominant Republican base. * * * The DCCC’s $2 million in independent expenditures aimed at capturing the 1st District seat actually were much greater than the NRCC’s spending, but the Democratic committee is much better funded and could better afford the spending spree. The Republican committee’s wasted seven-figure expenditures on its three special election defeats have left it with little remaining cash to put into bids to take over Democratic seats in this fall’s election and to play defense against other strong Democratic takeover bids.

BATON ROUGE, La. - A Democrat won a special congressional election here Saturday, bolstering his party's majority status on Capitol Hill by taking a seat Republicans have held since 1974.
Don Cazayoux, a lawyer and state lawmaker, beat Republican Woody Jenkins to cap a race that Democrats viewed as a chance to further tighten control over Congress. The seat opened when Republican Richard Baker, a 20-year incumbent, resigned to take a lobbying job.
With all precincts reporting, Cazayoux had 49 percent of the vote to 46 percent for Jenkins, a community newspaper publisher. Three independents combined to take 5 percent.
The congressional district includes Baton Rouge and surrounding parishes. ...
With Cazayoux's victory, Louisiana's seven-member delegation has three Democrats for the first time since 2004, and for only the second time in 12 years.

I live in Kentucky's First Congressional District. This year, we have a great Democratic Lady running for our Congressional seat, Heather Ryan. Well, we are not the only first district in the south that has an awesome Democratic lady running for their Congressional seat. In the First Congressional District of Louisiana another stellar Democratic woman is running to expand our Congressional majorities. Her name is Gilda Reed. Read More »
A Republican has been elected Governor of Louisiana.
Bobby Jindal won the election against 5 Democrats with 54 % of the vote.
I don't have much to say about this except...a Republican has been elected in a state where the situations require the dedication, attention, and strength of a Democrat.
Looks like Louisiana just put a roadblock on all the Progress they were making.
Oh well...

From email I received:
This week, hundreds of our friends and neighbors will qualify as Democrats to seek election to the Louisiana Legislature. They will carry with them our best wishes, our hopes. They will have the support of the people on this list as well as the people in their communities as they formally take the step of offering themselves as candidates for public service.
There are, however, 25 individuals and companies who are preparing to spend about $1.5 million to see that those Democrats don't succeed.
The Louisiana Committee for a Republican Majority (LCRM) was concocted by Senator David Vitter and his wife Wendy in late 2005 or early 2006 when the rest of Louisiana was trying to figure out how to recover from the twin disasters of hurricanes Katrina and Rita, and the collapse of the levees in New Orleans.
The Vitters convened some of their biggest fund-raisers to put together this organization, which is modeled and named after Tom DeLay's "Texans for a Republican Majority" which engaged in money laundering as a means of gaining Republican control of the Texas Legislature in 2002. Read More »
