The Charolotte Observer endorses obama.
They also list specific reasons why they chose Senator Obama over her.

Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., had to endure cheers for Sen. Barack Obama and boos for the North Carolina governor, who has backed her, at the North Carolina Democratic Party's Jefferson-Jackson dinner in Raleigh, N.C., Friday evening -- where both she and Obama spoke.
Clinton, attempting to show that there will be party unity, said, “If Sen. Obama is the nominee, you better believe I'll work my heart out for him.” The crowd erupted into a chant for Obama, leaving Clinton speechless for a few seconds while she waited for them to finish.
During her speech, Clinton also mentioned Gov. Mike Easley, who has endorsed her candidacy, and she was momentarily rendered speechless while the crowd booed him. Looks like the governor's endorsement isn't worth much in NC.
I'm posting this blog for anyone who wants to sign up for the Catawba Democrats, NC group. Because of the restrictions on messaging, a person must be in another's friends network to be able to receive or send messages. If you have joined or would like to join, please send a friend request to Shawn H. My name will be on the list of members with an asterisk (*) beside it. Thank you to current members for joining and to future members for being interested. Communication is important in an Internet group, so make sure you send that friends request. Any suggestion for the group are also welcome, as this is a combined effort by all.
Thanks,
Shawn H.
Yesterday, my partner and I traveled to Chapel Hill, NC, to join members of the Orange County Democratic Party, Health Care for all NC, and the BlueNC bloggers in viewing Michael Moore's powerful documentary, "Sicko". While I'll tell you all the "Sicko" is a must-see, that is the less important news I have to bring to the national community.
North Carolina is actually considering something extremely progressive and beneficial to its citizens -- but this is going to require help from every Tarheel Democrat and every supporter we can muster. You see, instead of the Republican-type constitutional amendments that codify hatred, bigotry and racism into state constitutions, NC Democrats are doing exactly what they were elected to do: to propose an amendment to the state constitution that will bring equal access to affordable health care for all NC citizens.
That's what Democrats do -- we serve the people instead of serving bigoted, profiteering special interests. But we must link arms with one another, stand firm and do some really hard work and very quickly, if we expect to see this referendum on the ballot in 2008.
1.In the United States Embassy in Iraq there are a couple of hundred Iraqi workers. They are badged and vetted. No hostile incident has ever occurred in the US Embassy executed by an Iraqi employee of the U.S. Embassy. In fact, the Iraqis working for and in the US Embassy have turned out to be great assets to the operation as a whole and have contributed more than expected and have gone the extra mile to help achieve stability in Iraq. Most are risking there very lives every day by working for the US Embassy, but through various forms of cloak and dagger secrecy they are able to make their way to the Green Zone to work on behalf of the Coalition and their country. (Most Iraqis are not the enemy). Read More »

Senator Mitchell was brought aboard during a rash of minor scandals at Disney. He brought his tremendous experience and knowledge ...and a wealth of skills in tact and negotiation to a company that was truely in need of such a man. As chairman of the board of directors, he has some power, to be sure, but he can only be asked to use it wisely.
Send him a letter! Remember, too, he is one of us! Read More »
