Hello All,

I challenge all to do as I have done to provide voters with easy access to BarackObama.com I have run the simple ad BarackObama.com in my hometown paper as well as other surrounding communities to get this started. This simple ad will make it easy for people to get to know Barack. It will reach many people and make it easy for those who otherwise may not visit his website.

Just imagine if every small town paper in every state had this ad BarackObama.com how many people we could reach. Howe many new supporters will join and how many new supporters will donate.

The papers I ran ads from July 3 to Oct 30 are the Goffstown News, Bedford Bulletin,Bow Times, Hooksett Banner and Salem Observer. All these communities voted republican in 2004, "Its Time for a Change" and we the people can be part of this change. We can do this if we all join in. Lets start this in NH and spread the word across the country so all will have easy access to get to know Barack Obama and help elect him as our next president.

Those who want to help, please start to blog on this or run a simple ad BarackObama.com to move this idea forward.

Another idea is to purchase magnetic car signs from your local printer or from an online store in the size of a bumper sticker with BarackObama.com. Pass them out at the supermarket or post office. Put a bunch on your car with a sign free take one. When you do groceries and come back to your car some will have been taken by new supporters. People love these things. That way it will be like having moving billboards throughout your area.

Please email this blog to others. Thank You, Wayne

New Ad Highlights Hillary's Historic Popular Vote Total
6/1/2008

With two days to go until the South Dakota and Montana primaries, the Clinton campaign today unveiled a new television ad, "17 Million"

The 30-second spot highlights Hillary's lead in the popular vote. Over 17 million Americans have voted for Hillary Clinton, earning her more votes than anyone in the history of Democratic primaries.

Following is the complete script of the ad:   Read More »

Fighting For Puerto Rico’s Soldiers and Veterans: During a conversation with the family of a Puerto Rican soldier who had fought in Iraq, Hillary promised that “[w]hen I’m president, we will begin ending the war in Iraq, and you won’t have to worry about [your son] going back…Our veterans deserve a commander in chief who will take care of them, and I will.”

Most of us who "have no intentions whatsoever" do not continue to say the same thing again and again and then each time vow that  we had "no intentions whatsoever." Clinton's claim to having been "misunderstood" is more than a little stale.

"I regret that if my referencing that moment of trauma for our entire nation, and particularly for the Kennedy family was in any way offensive," she added. "I certainly had no intention of that whatsoever."

She has said much the same thing before. In a March interview with Time magazine, she said almost exactly the same thing: "Primary contests used to last a lot longer. We all remember the great tragedy of Bobby Kennedy being assassinated in June in L.A. My husband didn't wrap up the nomination in 1992 until June, also in California."

How many times does she have to pull the same lousy cheap shot before people say "enough"?  Well, judging from the huge backlash,  I think that Friday in South Dakota the public's patience and saturation point with her reached its limit.

Senator Clinton's day went from bad to worse on Friday. On her last stump stop for the day in Brookings, there were no Hillary banners and the applause was subdued according to press reports.

The questions began with a man in the audience accused Bill Clinton of pardoning a group of Cuban nationalists so that Clinton would have the Puerto Rican vote when she ran for the Senate in 2000.

On August 11, 1999 Clinton commuted the sentences of 16 members of FALN , a violent Puerto Rican nationalist group that set off 120 bombs in the United States mostly in New York City  and Chicago , convicted for conspiracies to commit robbery, bomb-making, and sedition, as well as for firearms and explosives violations.  See WIKI for more on this pardon.

"Apologies notwithstanding, there are some things you just do not say in a Presidential campaign. It doesn’t matter how hard you work; how tired you are or what is on your mind. There are some things that demonstrate conclusively that the speech you are engaging in is in bad taste, is improper and at the best can be called poor judgment. The kind of poor judgment that indicates you are not really and truly qualified to be President of The United States.

Hillary Clinton said just such a thing today while in South Dakota, meeting with the Editorial Board of the Argus Leader newspaper, in advance of the June 2d primary in South Dakota. She was defending her position to stay in the race until June, possibly until the time of the convention, when she stated history was on her side as evidence of past nominating time periods not wrapping up until June, “My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary, somewhere in the middle of June, right?" Clinton said in an interview with the Argus Leader newspaper editorial board.

"We all remember, Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California, I don't understand it," Clinton said.

The remarks can be read to say that Mrs. Clinton is remaining in the race, just in case someone assassinates Barack Obama, and that history shows that it is possible to obtain the parties nomination as late as June for that reason . . ."

To the Voters of Montana, South Dakota, and Puerto Rico

I would like to remind you all of the importance to vote in your upcoming Presidential Primary.

Contrary to the media pundits and others we do not have a democratic nominee.

Your vote will help to decide the nominee.

Also, the DNC rules committee will meet May 31st to try to find a solution to the FL and MI voter issues.

They will hopefully find a solution and not just a ruling.

Based upon their decision, the possibilities of the popular vote going to Hillary will be determined.

Your vote will add to and determine this popular vote.

I know many of the other supporters will change their tune and state that it will not matter.

But, I would like to remind you that not long ago when ahead in the popular vote they were advocating that the super delegates follow the popular vote.

Help Hillary obtain this key electoral point.

Remember Al Gore won the popular vote but lost his election.

The DNC stated that this would never happen again.

Puerto Rico, you have a very large vote that can turn the tide and make history.

I have heard others here state that you are not a state and should not vote.

They are the same who like to point to the rules when in their favor.

Make History. Vote.

This is another shrewd tactic to deflect your votes.

Hillary Clinton Unveils South Dakota Native American Agenda
5/20/2008
http://www.hillaryclinton.com/news/release/view/?id=7781

Hillary Clinton unveiled her proposal to provide increased opportunity and improve the quality of services for South Dakota’s Native American community today. Her plan, grounded in the principle of tribal sovereignty, focuses on job creation, improving the quality of health care and combating crime.

"For seven years, the Bush Administration has failed to live up to its commitment to the Native American community in South Dakota and across the nation," Hillary said. "By making targeted investments to create good-paying jobs and ensuring everyone has access to quality, affordable health care and by continuing to partner with the Native American community within the government to government framework, we can begin to undo some of the damage President Bush’s neglect has caused."

Four of the five counties with the lowest per capita income are in South Dakota’s Indian country, reversing a trend of successful economic growth in the 1990’s. As President, Hillary will invest in work force development programs to ensure Native Americans are prepared for the high-wage, high-skill jobs of the 21st century. She will also fund research in renewable energies, including wind and solar, which will help lower energy costs and create good jobs in Indian country.

"Native Americans had a productive partnership with the Clinton administration during the 1990’s, and Hillary understands the importance of that partnership in improving the quality of life in our community," said Lula Red Cloud. "Native Americans in South Dakota need a President who will provide economic opportunities and curb the health, addiction and crime problems that are sweeping across our communities, and Hillary has the proposals and the experience to do just that."

Hillary’s plan will expand access to affordable health care by increasing funding for the Indian Health Service budget and elevating the director of the Indian Health Service to the Assistant Secretary level. She will declare war on juvenile diabetes to counter the skyrocketing incidence rate of the disease among young Native Americans.

The plan also targets increased crime rates, particularly crimes related to the sale and use of crystal meth, by providing additional resources for Indian country law enforcement.

Hillary’s full Native American Agenda for South Dakota is below.

Outspent 2:1 Hillary is victorious in West Virginia.

It matters. He lost. The demographics are troubling for him. Shows his real weakness with the core working class needed to win the GE.

A swing state not important?

You bet it is!

Thank You West Virginia.

Clinton Campaign Announces South Dakota Field Director, Communications Team
5/9/2008
http://www.hillaryclinton.com/news/release/view/?id=7615

The Clinton campaign today named Matt Tepper as South Dakota field director and Ben Kobren and Brendan Gilfillan as West and East River communications directors. The campaign previously announced that South Dakota native Geoff Wetrosky would serve as state director.

“Millions of votes have been cast in this primary, and now it is South Dakota’s turn,” Wetrosky said. “As she discussed in her visit yesterday, Hillary Clinton has real proposals to turn our economy around, help deal with skyrocketing energy prices and end the war in Iraq. There is tremendous grassroots energy and support here in South Dakota, and we hope to harness that excitement to ensure that South Dakota Democrats turn out for Hillary on June 3.”

Tepper previously worked on the Clinton campaign in New Hampshire, Missouri, Texas and Pennsylvania.

Gilfillan served as the campaign’s New Jersey communications director and also worked in Indiana, Pennsylvania and Iowa. Kobren, who worked in Hillary’s Senate office, has worked in Indiana, Ohio, California and Nevada.

East River media inquiries should go to Gilfillan, at bgilfillan@hillaryclinton.com ; West River inquiries should go to Kobren, at bkobren@hillaryclinton.com Both can be reached at sdpress@hillaryclinton.com

Lets hear it for South Dakota Democrats! In SD Republicans easily outnumber Democrats. Nevertheless, despite their small numbers, SD Democrats have been making a big difference since the 60's. Lets show the wisdom of the Democratic approach by contributing articles to the state's leading newspaper, the Argus Leader. Here's how you can post an online article: Link.
