I saw a report on yahoo news recently that John McCain seems to be very irritated in recent interviews. After Sarah Palin becoming a political laughing stock due to the cast of Saturday Night Live, I wouldn't expect him to react any other way. I'm not voting for the man, but I think he's made a couple serious mistakes he should have seen the repurcusions ahead of time from.First of all, choosing a beautiful female VP is going to put much more attention on her every words than someone who has less attractive qualities. I haven't heard much at all about Joe Biden in the past couple weeks, but if Obama had picked a female just as equally as attractive as Palin, as unjust as it sounds, I believe she'd be taking the spotlight just as much. As a nation, and as sad as it is to mention, many of the people cannot look beyond Palin's looks and look at her seriously about politics. I believe McCain should have seen this coming, and would be ready for the news media's onslaught.

On another note, he decided to chum it up with Bush. Surely they are out there, but I haven't met many republicans that feel too confident voting for someone that's a buddy with the guy. In my opinion, I don't think this was such a smart move. When going against someone as articulate as Obama, you've got to be ready for everything.

Besides actually getting out to vote next month, being REGISTERED to vote is the next most important thing we need to do.

I haven't written in a while, but after the collapse of several of the largest financial keystones in the country I feel like it's important to get a few words out. The NY times and a few other news agencies have mentioned how Barack Obama is now changing his focus from previous topics over to the economy. I think that's great. There are enough Barack Obama supporters to understand where he's going and coming from to realize it's not just a publicity stunt. The thing that the NY Times and other organizations don't realize is that there is a huge fear in the back of many Americans minds as to what will happen now that banks and other huge companies are collapsing. It's NOT a publicity move. Obama didn't make this happen and he's not benefiting from giving his opinions about the situation. I for one would love to know how he will react to such a newsworthy even such as lehman going down the tubes. This is respectable. I hope the media don't twist it any more than they already have.
This clip summarizes the walking contradictions that make up the republican party...they are a buch of HIPOCRITES that believe only they are exempt from their ridiculous rules. When a democrat does or says something they are hung to dry but when Republicans do or say the exact same thing they are exempt! The truth needs to be exposed and spread so that the American public knows what hipocrites these people are from the horse's mouth.

I think Obama has chosen the absolute best candidate for his running mate. Congrats Biden... you're not just my homeboy, you're my homeboy's homeboy.

It couldn't have been said better. This is perfect...
Joe Biden is my homeboy's homeboy

Who is crazy?

Comments on previous posts have stooped to the politics of personal destruction, ad hominem attacks, and calling people "crazy."

Did you know that shortly after Frank filed with the FEC there was a staff post, since deleted, on Daily Kos, asking if Kos should support Frank instead of Obama? So the Kos staff was taking him seriously.

Tell me, who is crazy?

Frank Lynch is creating a new university http://www.fluni.com to train teachers of science, math, medicine and engineering to help treat our national shortage of science teachers and had the audacity to name the university after his father, who died at home in his arms.

Obviously Lynch is crazy, a loon, an egomanic and should be chased out of town. It goes against the principles of the Democratic Party to advance education and to deal with the teacher shortage. Drive Lynch away from posting, he is dangerous. And he is taking on the monumental, back breaking tsask of creating a non-profit, charitable university, and serving without compensation? What a jerk!

Frank Lynch is creating a public charity devoted to abused children and abused women and to fighting poverty inside of America as opposed to Clinton's foundation which is mostly outside the USA. http://franklynchfoundation.org also named after his deceased father.

Lynch is insane, What a narcissist. Anybody who wants to fight poverty inside America is a Nazi. Shout him down, ban him, ridicule him. And he wants to help abused children and save them from the broken foster care system? He can't possible be a true Democrat.

Lynch is writing books and creating a publishing company to raise money for his charities to help education and fight poverty in America. Criminal! UnAmerican. Anti-Democrat. No Democrat Presidential candidate ever wrote a book? Boo! Go away Frank. It is illegal to write a book.

Frank filed to run for president even though he knew the Democratic Party insiders would not let him on the ballots. Why? As a means of getting the other Presidential candidates to copy the ideas he posted on http://www.franklynch.org and use them in their previously vacant websites previously filled with only empty rhetoric from Jimmy Carter's 1976 campaign, and we know Carter's legacy.

Gee Frank, you reminded Hillary and goaded Barack into helping college students and into adopting Universal Healthcare. Frank, you really are a tin hat wacko loon. Everybody knows that Hillary and Barack adopted universal healthcare AFTER you publicized it and nagged the Chairpersons of all 50 state party organizations about it. What a maroone.

And by doing so, Frank Lynch changed America. What a terrible person! Pushing for universal healthcare and helping college students. Lock him in jail.

And Frank Lynch filed to run for President without ever serving as a legislator.

Now this is a big one. Frank Lynch is going to propose a Constitutional Amenment to forbid anyone who has ever been a US Senator or Representative, or ever graduated from law school, from running for President.

No lawyer ever SUCCESSFULLY managed anything of substance in the entire history of America. No many of you will cite lawyers who were the head of all sorts of things. Yes, ABraham Lincoln, my geatest personal hero, was a lawyer, but he never went to law school. Ha! Try to focus. No lawyer evere SUCCESSFULLY managed anything of substance.

Chew on that! First it is a really big crime how so many Senators do nothing about carrying out their duties to the taxpayers for two whole years while they abandon the Senate to run for President.

Second, the Presidency is EXECUTIVE. Senators and Representatives do nothing but work to get re-elected and collect campaign donations by holding hearing after hearing after hearing after hearing to extort contributions from the victims of their hearings.

Third, have you every watched CSPAN? None of those bums should ever be allowed to be President.

Frank Lynch has expert experience in the areas that determine America's future: science, national security, finance/economics, and running a business. See http://www.franklynch.name

In fact, compared to the irrelevant experience of all the other candidates, Lynch is OVERQUALIFIED

Frank Lynch at age 18 dropped out of college because he thought his professors were stupid. At age 19 he was back as a National Science Foundation researcher studying the effects of early experience on adult biochemical and hormonal reactions to stress.

Since stress is involved in weapons systems, he was recruited as a national security consultant, first on selection of advanced weapons systems, then intellegence, and he co-authored a study that predicted the current MidEast situation, in detail, with 100 percent accuracy, 40 years ago! Current candidates don't even understand the MidEast today, let alone see the future.

He then spent 10 years as a Corporate Finance Officer on Wall Street, followed by creating a new business from scratch, building it up into a publicly traded company, and selling it to a larger company.

In contrast, both Obama and McCain state they do not understand business, finance or the economy.

No other Presidential candidate has these comprehensive, totally relevant, qualifications to deal with the problems facing America today.

Maybe Howard Dean erred by keeping Frank Lynch off the primary ballots? Would it not be interesting if the voters had had the chance to debate this?

George W. Bush whoops it up at a "R" fundraiser, laughing and joking while Americans suffer in silence. This time, Cenk Uygur, (The Young Turks)is very angry at the Bozo-In-Chief... Watch video and feel his rage, and his sorrow. thinkingblue   Read More »

Yes, I will write-in Hillary no matter what the ballot will look like  on the Election day. Please go on, Hillary!

How did we reach our current state of decline in just eight excruciating years? Aren't we working hard enough? Was there some millennial shift in consciousness and morality? How could we elect leaders like Bush and Cheney and their minions on Capitol Hill?

Mark Crispin Miller's latest book, "Loser Take All," provides an explanation that precedes any other: election fraud. In his collection of essays, Miller shows that the losers took everything in both the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections. That made all the difference.

Hello again. You might want to read the previous posts before this one. I'd just like to take the opportunity to ask that my supporters spread the word about my presidential campaign for the election in 2032. If this confuses you at all, read my previous posts. Please tell me, by the way, where you posted any information regarding my campaign if you did so on the internet, as it is important that we can keep track. This is also an invitation to everyone to join the support group.
Super Delegates Nominate Hillary Clinton The title some what fictitious but the reality of possibilities is not very far from the truth. With all the misplaced enthusiasm of adolescent perceptions in a political reality stating the world is what it is supposed to be (but is not so don’t hold your breath) the world is held captive in the turmoil generated by a corporate media that seems to hold little value in truth. To judge the world by the headlines of the corporate media and most others that maintain those views which hold us prisoner to falsehood: Thinking that “Barack Obama has locked up the Democratic Party nomination for the 2008 Presidential election†in what is misplaced because in truth that is the farthest thing from the truth unless you support the business as usual crowd for maintaining the status quo. “Barack Obama has locked up the Democratic Party nomination for the 2008 Presidential election “ Is that really so? Is that way the Democratic Party will do it? Or is that what some would have us think in what is the jockeying for positioning related to the final voting. One Super delegate offered his vote for sale for supposed altruistic reasons I am sure he is not the only one. What all the wonderful over paid, over educated, over played, over valued, and worthless spin doctors and pundits (mainly of the mainstream corporate media) fail to state is that due to the brilliance of the National Democratic Party and its rules: Super delegates on which Barack Obama is based can vote for whom ever they feel like in views that can change as often as those delegates can change their mind in preference up until the moment they vote at the National Democratic Party Convention for as long as it takes to reach a successful conclusion. Imagine the possible headlines: “Super delegates nominate FDR to run again with Bonzo as his running mate, as FDR is brought back to life due to advanced DNA cloning†I do not agree with the super delegate system but as a realistic observer I am cognizant of it as a reality of real circumstances not imagined ones. In theory the super delegates do not have to vote for either Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton. So why have so many mainstream media sources chosen to illuminate us with such falsehoods, to simplify the political landscape so we can receive their simplified views in what is once again dumb and dumber? Surely they will rationalize truthfully that most likely delegates will do this and that but not once will they challenge the underpinnings of on which all that political trash and waste is based! Why is it that the most complicated country in the world embroiled in every corner of the world with the most subversive of intrigues is summarized into the most simplistic of explanations that most of the time is simply untrue and false, unethical and immoral? Let us ask what Jesus would do! Let us ask what Buddha would say! Let us ask what ET would say and do! But most of all let us ask why has America declined to such a low point of ignorant discussion as is maintain in the mainstream media. The fact of the matter is that without super delegates neither Hillary Clinton nor Barack Obama has enough support to be nominated as the rules currently stand. As Barack Obama has 1,765½ delegates (52%) and Hillary Clinton 1,639½ (48%) with approx 690 super delegates deciding the outcome as it now stands though that means the Democratic Party is not expressing the will of the people but the established circles of power.. But who says that being democratic or republican means one is supposed to be fair and egalitarian? But do I hear anyone except myself discussing or calling for the elimination of the super delegate system? NOOOOOO! The fact of the matter remains that if the super delegates decide in convention to change their votes to support Hillary Clinton she will become the Democratic Party’s nominee albeit one without a full mandate from the people just like Barack Obama will not have a mandate of the people if he was nominated on which grounds I oppose them as weak wasteful candidates currently destined for defeat.
Hillary can't get the nomination. She needs to drop out of this race so her supporters have time to lick their wounds and get involved in defeating McCain this fall. If you are an independent, or a Clinton supporter, I invite your opinion here as to how we should weild the power of our base in November. As individuals, it's time to start thinking about who you will vote for in that election.

Here's what I think:

What is there to think about? Look at the last 8 years. As a citizen, the reality is that your choice is simple and options are limited. We simply can't afford to argue back and forth forever. Before you know it, it will be the day after election day and we will have to live with our choices.

Choose one of three:

A. McCain - more of the same neocon nonsense

B. Obama - a liberal-leaning candidate who can win

C. don't vote/vote 3rd party - passing the buck to other voters

You don't need 5 months to think about it. The obvious answer is B. Brush that chip off your shoulder and get on board. We need you!
I want to know. Really.

So your back is up against the wall. It is the morning of the election. What do you do if your current candidate in NOT on the ballot?

Obaminators, Clintonites-- what are you going to do? Do you honor your candidate by staying home, or, god forbid, voting for McCain? Or will you defend our country against another 4 years of Republican rule?

(for the record, I am voting Democratic in November, and I voted Edwards in my primary)

This harshly contentious part of the 2008 campaign season reminds me of the 2006 Mid Term Elections where Progressives used to get in heated arguments regarding Joe Lieberman. I remember blogging here and engaging in the fight between what were , at the time , Connecticut Democrats who were backing Joe Lieberman and Progressive Connecticut Democrats backing Ned Lamont. The majority of Connecticut Democrats were backing Lamont and many  Progressive activists were helping them raise money on line.

I remember all the attacks by Lieberman supporters who were calling Progressives Anti-Semite , because Lieberman happened to be Jewish , until they realized that the champion of the Progressive Activists is none other than the Honorable Russell D. Feingold who's Jewish and it's a known fact that Progressives pretty much worship this man like a God and consider him the head of all today's Progressives. So, that didn't work.

Then , they accused us of not being real Democrats because no real Democrat would be attacking Joe Lieberman who was the Vice Presidential candidate for Al Gore and who has a wonderful history of being a great Democrat and is a leader of the party. Until we showed them his record and it was discovered that he sided with the Republicans on key issues and that killed that argument.

Then, they told us we were fools because Ned Lamont was not going to unseat an incumbent and that there was no way he could beat the great Joe Lieberman in the Primary until...we actually did forcing Joe Lieberman out of the party and causing him to create his own little party of one in an effort to stay on the ballot. He just could not respect the fair race and wanted to keep his seat so bad.

If it wasn't for the help of the Republican Party , putting up a very weak and lame Republican candidate , the Connecticut Republicans who overwhelmingly gave Joe Lieberman the victory , Ned Lamont would be in office. So , once again , Republican interference stopped the Democrats from having a real Progressive that would actually vote with the Democrats as opposed to Joe Lieberman who continued voting with the Republicans.

As we all know , the judgement of the Progressives was right all along as we now see Joe Lieberman who had promised to vote with Senate Democrats in exchange for keeping his committee seats , had turned his back on the Democratic Party and is currently campaigning with the Republican Nominee John Mc Cain. All of that fighting and accusing against the Progressives and we ended up being right all along. I wonder where all the Lieberman supporters are now ?

I see the same thing in this campaign. The charges of Sexism hurled against those who refuse to support one candidate over another, the claims that those who do not support the life long Democrat are not REAL Democrats themselves. The argument that the challenger will never defeat such a strong leader of the party. The interference of Republicans in the Democratic Primary ( Operation Chaos ) I'm just glad it's too late for the loser of this Primary to change the rules instead of concede.................oh, wait a minuet. Naw , I'm sure we've learned our lesson.

Although it is apparent that our Democratic Party is badly fractured and damaged due to the intense and personal battle that has resulted from the highly contested race for our Party's Presidential Nomination, there is room for unity within the Party.

We may be at a point that our Party is irreparably damaged in the area of the Presidential Nomination, especially if the continued actions by the Party elite are successful at strong-arming Obama into the nomination without allowing the delegates the opportunity to vote first in Denver, but there is a greater cause that can unite all Democrats. There is a good chance that McCain could become our next President, due to the deep and damaging divides in the Democratic Party. If this happens, it becomes all the more important for all Democrats to put aside our differences over the Presidential race and focus on the all important Congressional races.

This year, a record number of Republican House Members and Senators have announced they will not seek re-election. They see the writing on the wall about their future. All national polling shows that when the American public is asked "which party would you prefer to see in control of the Congress?", the overwhelming response is the Democratic Party.

Currently our Party has a significant margin over the Republicans in the US House of Representatives, but a larger margin is needed to be able to have control over the direction this nation will take, should McCain become President.

In the Senate, our Party has only a two vote majority, due to two Independent Senators caucusing with the Democrats, for a total of 52 votes. We must all work together to strengthen that margin to 60.

During the 110th Congress, due to the Democrats not having 60 votes in the Senate, they have been unable to override vetoes from President Bush. They have also been blocked by Republicans from being able to bring legislation to the floor of the Senate for debate, discussion and votes. Much of the important legislation passed by the House has gone nowhere in the Senate due to this absence of the 60 votes needed for full control of the legislative agenda. Republicans have hijacked the process, blocking any progress that a Democratic majority could have brought about. They have been masters of the use of Cloture Votes to control the direction of the Senate.

Regardless of whomever we support for our Party's Presidential Nomination, it is imperative that we all put those feelings and divisions aside for the purpose of working together to get as many Democrats elected to both the House and Senate, especially the Senate.

If the Democrats have the 60 vote majority in the Senate, the votes will be there to override any veto that a President McCain could make to stop the agenda for the people. With the 60 vote majority, the Republicans can no longer block the legislative agenda to bring change to this nation.

I can not impress upon everyone the high stakes that exist that require us all to speak out and support the Democratic candidates for the US House and Senate in your respective Congressional Districts and your US Senate races.

Though we are divided deeply on the Presidential Nomination process, we have within us the ability to join together to not only retain control of both houses of Congress but to also make some major gains in the number of seats Democrats control in both Houses. So our work is cut out for us. Let's get down to work and bring forth a Democratic majority that is "VETO PROOF".
Senate testimony for single-payer healthcare had good turn-out, so they post-poned it until tomorrow.
The DNC is clearly promoting a different standard in the current race between Clinton and Obama. If the situations were reversed and Clinton had the most delegates, the most popular vote, and the most states, there would be no question in the minds of the "super delegates" as to who should and would be the nominee!

More specifically, the fact that Clinton is white, is the biggest factor prolonging this race. If Obama was white, the race would have been called long ago. To many black people, it seems as if the DNC is trying to find some reason to legitimize the Clinton campaign, so they are letting the race go on, letting the situation in the democratic party fester.

To end this fiasco, the so called "super delegates" should cast their vote for the candidate with the lead in all areas. Anything to the contrary would not be looked upon very positively by black Americans.

Obama is in the lead. He has the most of everything. Everyone knows that Clinton cannot catch him. We should be moving forward.

In essence, the DNC is showing, without question, that America is still a cesspool of racism and bigotry.

The people in Pennsylvania and Ohio did not prefer Clinon because of her politics, they preferred her because she is white. Stop sugar-coating it with terms like "conservative" and "blue collor." These terms have long been used as ways to hide the truth about the racist disease that is prominent today in the USA.

The world is watching and they can see this. They can see the hypocrisy which is the USA. Thay know that America did nothing of importance to end Apartheid in South Africa. They know that if Nelson Manadela had been white, the US never would have tolerated what happened to him.

The DNC needs to let black America know that it is against the very appearance of being racist. It needs to encourage all of the "super delegates" to do the right thing, and show America and the rest of the world that the national party of the Democrats in America will not tolerate or support racism in any form.

On the Clinton win in Pennsylvania, Clinton has a 15 year lead in recognition over Obama!! She has been far more negative than she needed to be. She has suggested that he might be a muslim, that he can't beat McCain, and much more!!! People who say that she did well in Pennsylvania are fooling themselves. She lost at least 10 points.

I appeal to the DNC to start the process towards correcting all of the racial problems which are alive and well in America.

BE WELL!!!
