But I officialy LOVE: Gretchen, Shopman, Liz,Jake, Vidya, Laura, Moses, Anne K., Arius, Dona, Michelle, and I m sure many others I am forgeting, please forgive me and accept my blessings, I think we Dems will prevail in November and we will all be happy campers.

So. Over the last two days I have sent a LOTTA PM's here. Several of them have all gone to one person on my friends list, no - not because I'm stalking that person - but oddly, because I wanted to help work out a situation between that one and someone ELSE on my friends list. (Stay with me here, I promise there's a point.)

This morning I spent a few minutes looking at my list of Partybuilder friends, and thinking about them. There are 29 of them. As I thought about my list, I realized a couple of things. I intentionally keep the number pretty low, because I consider everyone on it an actual friend. Anyone on that list can email me or call me any time and for any reason. If you're on the list, then the friendship is real and goes beyond politics and this website. But (getting closer to the point now) out of those 29 people, I noticed this:

6 Die Hard Hillary Clinton supporters
6 Die Hard (With A Vengeance) Barack Obama supporters
6 Die Hard II John Edwards supporters
9 friends whose candidate of choice I have no clue about
1 Live Free or Die Hard Republican
and Paul.

What separates these people and makes them different? Nothin. They're all my friends.

Who do I support?

My friends.

and many, many more!!!

here's some champagne to help you celebrate........and some flowers to brighten your day

CRACKED POT

An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck.

One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.

At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water.
Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments.

I've been invited over the past couple of days to become the friend of three other bloggers here, and I've accepted and feel glad to be their friend, going by what I can learn about them from reading their profiles and posts or comments. But what is it all about?

There's a sort of help prompt labeled "What is this?" in the friends area, but it gives the barest sort of technical definition of terms, without beginning to explain what "having friends" here means or entails or enables one to do.

My only previous experience with blogging has been at blogspot.com (where my main blog is at the address Link, and it doesn't have "friends."

One thing that blogspot has that would be very useful here is its mechanism for automatically notifying you via email when someone has commented on one of your posts. I can't see that democrats.org/community/post has anything like this, but I'd like to learn that I'm wrong and just haven't discovered it yet.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light on these matters for me. I appreciate it.
I don't know if any of you are reading this, seeing as this is a Democratic website and all. But if you're a Republican, and you've found this blog, I just want to say:

Welcome, brother.

I'm not here to kick your ass or call you nasty names. The time for insults is over, and the stakes are too high to act like a bunch of schoolyard juveniles. Instead, I want to speak to you sincerely... as a friend, a neighbor, and an American.

I'm not kidding.
