There are a few agitators that are reconducting the primary campaign. It is quite a tribute to Hillary that you guys still are so intimidated by her. There is no doubt in my mind that she should have won the nomination and that she would have been a far better president than either Obama or McCain, but she is no longer running, and I can't have my first choice.
In light of the fact that she has committed her support to Obama, it seems like a moot issue at this point. So why the bashing today? It's like Groundhog Day, we keep having this same fight over and over and over..., but to what end?
Keep in mind that, since Hillary is an Obama supporter, when you bash Hillary, you discredit anyone she supports as well....
Watching the Hillary bashers go on and on about how there is no party unity is sort of like listening to Republicans complain about the big government they themselves created (just to prove that big government doesn't work).
Enough, already! There are far more important and worthwhile tasks at hand to be accomplished. Focus your energy on something positive and productive.

How do you guys feel about publishing the equivalent of a prayer list daily so that we know who is needing our support on special issue? It does not have to exclude those who are not religious, that is why I chose not to call it a "prayer list."
What do you think?
There has been some expression of judgmental attitudes and rejection of posters who support controversial opinions (and that is a nice way to say it) and whether standing up against THEM is the same as standing up against THEIR ARGUMENT. Well, as you guys know by now -- and my father said it best -- I have never lacked an opinion or the adequate wind to voice it!
So, let me offer you this suggestion:

Description
Obama and Clinton hold a joint rally.
I'm absolutely sold that, as a people, we need to recognize those for what they are...labels. I have never met any two women who thought the same; never met any two muslims or jews who thought the same. I've never met any two hippies or yuppies who thought the same and have yet to meet any two whites or blacks who think the same. They're just labels. Call me what you will...now prove it? What does it mean? and So what if you're right?
Barack Obama is Black...he's a man...he's white...he's African...he's a bastard...he's young...he's inexperienced...he's an elitist...blah blah blah. So what?!?!?!
The only thing I care about is whether he'll fulfill his promises...work with Congress and the Senate to fix Bush's MESS! I believe that he'll bring our troops home as soon as possible. I believe he'll work with, my GIRL, Hillary Clinton to ensure Universal Healthcare, and I know he'll bust his ass to tap an alternative fuel source so we aren't relying on Saudi Arabia and OPEC for their Oh-so-precious-oil!
What's more, I believe deep in my heart that my black son will have the perfect role model to which he can finally attribute some positivity beyond that of likes of sports greats Lebron James and Michael Jordan. And hopefully, unlike Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, America will allow Barack Obama to live long enough to prove, as a matter of principal, that black people are as intelligent and deserving of equality as any white person. I fume knowing that oftentimes when my son walks into an office building with his beautiful blackness all some see is a nigger. Well, times are changing and again, we need to each toss those labels aside.
We need to get over ourselves. We're never gonna make a difference if we first don't learn to accept our differences. Egos, fears, and all they bring with them are the obstacles that we're all afraid to face...look in the mirror and look beyond your skin and bones...look beyond the makeup and pimples. Who's there?
Michael Jackson had a song "Man in the Mirror"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zpTQCQEFhg
"...if you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make a change..."
We'll never be truer to our country as we have the opportunity to be today. Just be willing to accept the change you seek and be willing to change from within. The whole world is watching...are you up for the challenge?

I feel like Frank from Seinfeld screaming "serenity now!" But instead I scream "unity now!" I am worried that I might go crazy if I say it too many times... But it is true, now is the time to scream and kick and fuss to make sure that this party comes together behind our candidate Obama, because if we don't we risk losing this country to at least another four years of more of the same from McCain. I'm thinking, when i return, to have some more fodder to treat the Republicans and John McCain with the proper, show'em up for what they are, respect that they deserve..
Focus on the Potus! Yea Democrats, Yea Barack, YES WE CAN!!
Anyways I have been trying to catch up and one thing I keep noticing is a few who are calling for party building jumping onto topics that mean nothing against the party, Obama, supporters, and just saying something rude or putting that last person who posted or commented down. WHat is going on? I understand that not everyone will kiss and make up but I am seeing allot about troll police and party unity and so on..... so I guess my question is.....
Are you a better democrat if you call for peace and unity and then attack someone you think is a troll?
The problem with this troll police and everyone who wants to weed out trolls is everyone has their own ideas on who are "trolls" so some people are being called trolls by others and then others are like "no wrong guy that one over there"
Can we all agree to just not talk to each other or reply if we don't like them?
Great day to get organized to BE SURE we elect the next Democratic President of the United States,, BARACK OBAMA!
We have some local Voter Registration Training events going on this weekend to get a possee of voter registration personel to counter that old republican smear campaign this time.
Anyone with us???
YES WE CAN!!
Hello all you Democrates out there and avid 'no more bush terms' Barack Obama supporters.
Let's get this man of integrety, authenticity, and unity elected potus!
YES WE CAN!!
Aesop, I believe, said, "United we stand, divided we fall." That is what our Democratic Party is facing. It is time that we put our past behind us and begin looking forward to November. I was torn up until election day on who to vote for. By the time the primary came in Indiana I could see the writing on the wall that Sen. Obama was going to be the nominee. I congratulate Sen. Clinton on a wonderfully run campaign. She is, and would have been, an immensly strong and inspirational candidate.
BUT.
Sen. Obama has won the nomination and it is time for us all to work as hard as we can to make sure we send a message loud and clear in November: It is time! We have had enough! Senator Obama is our choice! I urge everyone who is feeling discouraged, hurt, even spurnned to look into the future and invision 8 years of John McCain, 8 more years in Iraq, 8 more years of tax cuts for the wealthy, 8 more years of Republicans in the Oval Office! We cannot afford to let our differences get in the way of our true goals. So. I ask you this my fellow Democrats: United we stand. OR Divided we fall. ???
We MUST put our differences behind us. We MUST unite behind Barack. We WILL win in November! America cannot afford to stay on this course any longer.
IT IS TIME AMERICA.
You are not alone in the feelings you are experiencing right now. You are not alone in interpreting the events of this nomination fight in the light that you do.
I think that were the shoe on the other foot, Obama supporters would be equally unmoored; in search of answers. This was a hotly contested nomination. The most hotly contested nomination in the lifetimes of most of us, even the history of the party over the last 100 years.
It would be unreasonable and unnatural if there were not some bruised egos.

One thing is certain, after Hillary's speech today, it will be a lot easier to tell the real Democrats from the Republican Trolls who have invaded our blogosphere.
After Hillary's speech today, not only will you be disrespectful to our party, you will also be disrespecting Hillary if you continue to refuse to unite behind Obama and our party.
In the end, you have three choices just like the rest of us:
1.) Vote Republican
2.) Vote Democrat
3.) Vote for a 3rd party /vote for write-in = not voting
Ramifications:
1.) You have chosen to vote against everything that Hillary and Barack stand for
2.) You will fight to achieve Barack and Hillary's goals
3.) You've just wasted your time and gas money
